Easiest way to do this would be to convert it to mpeg with nero express 3 it will ask you whether you want to keep the file as pal or convert to...
Quicktime pro will extract the audio out of a .mov file, or you can convert it to mpeg and extract it with TMPG Encoder. WC

Sometimes with certain software .....certain file types are not supported, thats what this problem sounds like to me. WC
