Anyone got info on the .13 Radeon, ie is it going to come out, is it going to be faster, slower, prettier, anything at all? I wonder if they're having similar woes as Nvidia has had with the NV30. Any thoughts?
it'll probably be paired up with DDRII. I'm not sure though. Or it might be the R350 which will be .13
yes SIR!! take from this link: http://www.reactorcritical.com/cgi-bin/news.cgi?templ=single.http&id=1297 also the r350 should be 0.13 more on: http://www.geforcezone.com/misc-images/exameinformatica.jpg and r400 is proberly 0.13 if not 0.9
There is already a .13u micron card available from ATi ... everyone already forget about the technological wonders within the Radeon 9600Pro? Last I checked it operated on a .13u micron core......
guys, .13u should be a lot better compared to .15u right?? but why is the .15u Radeon beating the .13u FX??
The major benefit from moving from .15u to .13u is that it has a lower heat output so it can be clocked faster and not require better cooling. However, the R300 chips have a superior design over the NV3x chips which is why they are beaten. If the R300 was on .13u then it wouldn't require as much cooling - if the NV30 was on .15u then it would require another DustBuster™
Acutally, the r420 is coming out, its based on .13 core, and will be running DDR II as well as having support for PS 3.0 and VS 3.0..
