no point Crossfiring since you have a x16,x4 motherboard. MAJOR bottleneck, not good at all

just buy a single 8800GTS G92 to upgrade to, its faster, 2x HD 3870s are good too but youll need at least an x8,x8 mobo

so dont try it, waste of your money

your board is using the 965p chipset correct?

while you CAN get an added boost from it, it probably isnt worth the pumped up cost.

it DOES support crossfire, it was just born retarded so to speak. lol

lol.. nice use of words kris.

the hd3870 is quite thirsty for bandwidth..... a 8x pci-ex 1.0 would work well enough, but a 4x slot will likely not do the job at all. You'll see marginal increases.... maybe a few cases where the 4x slot won't hinder the performance.. but i'd highly suggest against it... (considering the hd3870's are native pci-ex 2.0 cards...)

Wait for the HD 3870 X2. It should be coming soon and should work well in your mobo.
