    hi there

    one more release :) probably, RC1

    new stuff (compared to 3535b):
    * removed any 'special' SMP/HT code -- it was too buggy :)
    * added a '0dB' button for kX Mixer sliders
    * updated APS Compressor +
    * updated some translations
    * found & corrected a minor issue with 3535a/b and AC-3 passthru for audigy2/1 boards

    please check the changes as well as any features mentioned in the previous changelog
    this release should be more or less stable compared to 3535 (except some of the new features which might be buggy)

    I can confirm that the midi problem i had with a/b releases (no midi input after 3-5 minutes until restarting the application) has gone now.

    well... no way till I have an SMP/HT system
    since coding blindly is not the best way (as we've figured out with 3535a/b)

    First .c impression's:

    Well, the same deal as .a & .b ... Looks like the HT code wasent the guilty party of the problems on my system...

    Try resetting global settings: Works perfect
    Try resetting settings: Lock up pc & reboot.

    Try playing games with normal 0/1 output, crash ...

    The problems seem to be identical to the .b release. Yet, the 3534 & other release before it work perfectly here...

    Play3DSound: Loop 1.wav - basic settings - Crash pc after a min or 2 playing.

    So basic soundplayback is even crashing the system. And resetting the non global settings crashes the system ... So something has changed from the 3534 that makes things realy unstable. And it somehow seems to be related (or maybe a seperate bug) when trying to reset your basic settings.

    Back up 3534 for me ...

    Almost forgot:
    3534 bug, havent checked if it's gone in the 3535a/b/c release. When you try to disable 3d hardware support ( channel 4/5 as adviced by you in the 3534 release, that works, with only 1 little problem ... you lose all speakers expect your default 2 rear one's ... trying to place it to any speaker setup will not activate the rest of the speakers. Swamping the 2 to the front work, but ofcourse you have no rear speakers anymore at that point. ).

    What about the IDirectSoundBuffer::SetVolume() bug I mentioned in the 3535b topic? Is that how it's supposed to behave?

    Maybe I should post this in bug reports as well.

    Also, what about maximum reported bitrate for foobar2000 Kernel Streaming? It says 16-bit and not 24-bit (as I think it should say on Audigy1/2, for 0/1 Device).
    It uses CKsAudRenFilter::GetMaxBitsPerSample() to detect it, if that helps.

    >> as I think it should say on Audigy1/2, for 0/1 Device

    not exactly
    due to some strange code (Microsoft's) -- the driver reports 16/48 as the 'main' format
    however, it handles all the other formats as well

    p16v stuff is not supported via wave0/1 device (at the moment -- I doubt it is necessary)

    >> .SetVolume

    yep. a new thread is a good idea :)

    I am aware of that, it's logical and it shouldn't be "supported"; leave HQ device sepparted from others, it's much better.
