I know, besides of 16 bit processing, can took place such un enhancements like natural clearance of sound ? not effects that make music converted to else source fully, but made it more natural and correctly audible by some type, on usual sound speakers. ______________ about Micropohone recording did not anypne heard ?
Man, du_volon, asked a question, and I answered it! He didnt ask me about software effects, but I gave him info on how the sound quality of his sound card could be with the kX drivers and software. Software effects are not part of the kX drivers and software, so I didnt mention them. If you wanted to speak about software effects, just do it. In that you qouted me to make your point about software effects, it very much seems to me that youre trying to start a debate or something, seeing that his question was about a quality comparison of kX and Creative, not about software effects! You didnt have to quote me, just say what you wanted to say! Edit: On second reading of your post, i think you mean no offense. Youre just making a point about some software effects. I agree some software effects (a number of them) are of professional quality.
Sorry, but I felt your reply to his question implied that because the effects are hardware based, they are automatically better. I simply wanted to point out that this isn't necessarily the case, especially given the routing possibilities kx opens up. Had I not quoted your message directly, I would have to do so indirectly anyway or else paraphrase to make my point. The quote button is there for such occasions. If you felt I was deliberately attacking you, I apologize.
I haven't decided yet. I used the Creative drivers for several months without problem. I recently did a complete XP re-installation from scratch and tried to install kx 3838 up to h but it didn't work for me. So I scrapped it and went back to the CL drivers. I've seen a couple of comments about 3538i stability problems so I don't know if I want to go through all the hassles yet. Eugene did mention that 8-channel 24/96 playback is possible with kx presently (just not ASIO) so this intrigues me. I don't care about latency when playing back or mixing; it's only an issue for recording and overdubbing, which I can certainly do in 16-bit mode (or use ASIO4ALL). Still, he nor anyone else answered when I asked about the DSP routing required. The p16V DSP object only exposes output pins. How would I input data through 8 channels of the p16V and then get these to the speakers? How do I access these signal paths from multichannel software such as Plogue Bidule, Cubase, etc. Tell me this and tell me 3538i is stable and I'll probably try going back. the only thing I'd really miss from CL is DVD-Audio playback and easy what-u-hear recording. I just don't want to have to scrap kx again and re-install the Creative drivers, since getting the CL stuff up to date and running well requires several update installs and reboots.
Asio4all & kx Hi! I just priefly tryed Asio4all and cannot get any sound out of Nuendo,at least not from same place than with KX, sure I´m missing something. In numbers it gets me around 6ms. latency but cannot confirm that aurally. Help Nagamichi or someone! I´m on 3538h wich is working fine for me. Regards! Matti

"How to turn on recording with microphone, with KX drivers?" thanks for reference. At home I will try it now. ______________________ How do you think worth this drivers not for N.1 speakers, but for usual 2 speakers or even headphones ?
Thanx for all Eugene !!!! Works fine on my Audigy(1?) (SB0090) my Asio mode test : (P3 1Ghz\XPsp2) for 5.33 ms m1 and m5 bugs ... m2/m3/m4 works greats ! m4 is my favorite (a little more perfs but less of crcRcrcrackles) thanx thanx thanx thanx !!!!
Ok,i was wrong about that high pitch beeping noise. It came back. But this time i noticed why or it's just a coincidence. I was playing some MPG clip and then i clicked loop function in WMP10 (to play video in loops forever). On the exact moment i switched from normal play to infinite loop, the beeping started. Hope this helps to anyone coz i'm again forced to use original creative drivers:tears: EDIT: Sad news is i cannot reproduce it again, but i managed to get the sound back by plaing that clip again and clicking normal/random/loop button like nuts. And now i have sound again lol. Weird shit...
hi someone has recomended me to stay with the h drivers cause routing to traktor wont work on my ct4760 10k card. i havent been able to get the dsp to work in any other version before h and havent tried version i because of the fact that i was told not to. anybody know if it's safe to use the i yet?
Fantastic Now I can really use ASIO 24/96 multichannel in playback, thanks Eugene! So I'm back to Kx after using Creative's drivers... Also some of my findings: -the i version ASIO24/96 sounds like 24/96, but the h version sounded like 16/96 -also for the i version as for all previous, DirectSound 24/96 sounds like 16/96 -the green led bug in 24/96 router is not fixed, but this is really not a priority this are the only issues that are bugging me, i haven't tested anything else since I didn't needed yet, but if i will, i would post the results here 10x Eugene again, Adrian
