3538i is out

So I can get rid of the SPDIF cables between my SB0090, CT4830, CT4780? Anybody try this yet? Maybe when my Audigy 2ZS from Ebay gets here, I will install 3538i and see what happens.

Hi there. Im just about to install 3538i. Is there eny perticuler way of installing it?
Or do i just un-install my 3537. Then re-insall 3538i?
Because i remember the 3537 had a perticuler way of installing.

i'm not sure, but i think it's possible IF Your sequencer supports multiple ASIO drivers

 

I did a very quick simple test. I disconnected the cable from spdif out of my Audigy 2 to spdif in of my M-Audio 2496 and no longer had output from my Audigy card. No soundfonts, no Vsti would playback through kx. When I reconnected the spdif everything worked as normal.

I use Sonar 4 Producer. I'm not sure you can select more than one card at a time. Maybe if you use the monitor feature? But I haven't tried that. Do you mean select the drivers for both cards?

I'm not exactly sure what I mean. If I was to take a guess at what I think I mean I would say...In Sonar 4 Producer, while using ASIO, Can you select 2 different ASIO cards as your source for Inputs/Outputs. Probably I should just install 3538i myself and figure out what this means

DK-1, I don't suppose that in the ASIO control panel for 3538i, you can select 2 ASIO cards?.*%#

 

what i think this means is that some sequencers support mulutiple ASIO Devices

therefore you load the drivers for all cards in use within the settings of the sequencer. I don't think it has anything to do with the asio control panel

 

SONAR only suports one ASIO driver at a time.

 

Strange, I installed this new build and now I can't right click on the kX DSP to add new effect.
No menu appears on right-clicking the blank spaces but right-clicking the DSPs bring up the DSP menu.

Is there a new way to add effects to the kX DSP or something?

 

try reinstalling - the dsp interaction hasn't been changed

 

Try to execute all the .kxl files located in system32 directory. This worked for me.

 

eyagos from what i understand his problem is not the plugins, but the menu to access the plugins… so your tip might now work, but it could be worth a try

Didn't seem to work for me.
Found 8 kxl in system32, default action is to register.
Registered them but it didn't solve the problem.

I'll try to reinstall then.

There is no need for build h to be installed, isn't it?
I did a clean uninstall with Driver Cleaner before installing build I, any problem is that known to cause?

 

There is a bug with the "Show window content while dragging" option. See this post from the 3538i Bug Reports thread.

 

I just discovered that bug myself.

Was ramaging through this thread only.

 

Just re-enable that option under kX Settings, and close any kX Windows that are open and it should restore the menu.

I tsested 3538i.
Soundfont doesn't Play drum Sounds on MIDI ch 10.
My SB is Audigy 1 card.
