ATI has frequent driver updates. If they don't want to give something out, it maybe means that it's not release ready, right?

at rage3d i could read that the thread was deleted, gibro told
the world that rage3d will never get in touch with ati-leaks...
thats why i asked here, where candyman is a/the mod himself...
and when things r not ready or whql cert., well that has not been
    a problem 4 a long time, but i remember dh, warp2search and a
few other good sites 2 remove the files and url`s with ati-leaks...
so my question should have been "is someone other than rage3d
willing 2 tell peeps where 2 download leaks ?" and this would at
least sound a little, let me say like offence, and 4 sure that is not
    what i asked 4...
    it was just a question...
but when a mod at DRIVERheaven tells me a DRIVER is not done
as long as it`s officially released, wow, then there is nothin`i can
answer... so shall i take the advice and only look at ati-sites 4 ati-
    officially-software? DRIVERS, mmc etc.?

As a fave author of mine often says: DON'T PANIC!!!!

The leaks aren't over, Rage3D hasn't "sold-out". This is a weird, one-time aberration more than a new policy on driver leaks methinks.

The leaked-then-not-leaked set in question is a set of developer drivers that were developed for a single vendor for a single game issue and the rest of the driver set is damn near totally un-optimized. We're talking 1000 onions less on my rig Blue, (who normally kicks about 5890 onions lately with the O-man's latest offerings), and big-time stuttering and problems with games. We are not just talking about a few glitches here, these are most definately a set of "not ready for primetime" drivers that just ain't worth the time to download and would cause WAY more grief than good. (And this is coming from ME, the ranting champ of the pro-leaking stance! )

I feel sort of weird about it, but I totally agree with their decision over at R3D. I dunno if ATI contacted them or if they decided on their own, but I know we took a peek at the sets and decided it would be a dis-service to our members and a huge waste of bandwidth (which we are desperately trying to save on...WE NEED MORE DONATIONS PLEASE!!!!) that we didn't think would do anything but cause problems.

You REALLY aren't missing anything on this set, and I wouldn't worry about R3D stopping their leaking. When the next decent set of betas start floating around you can be sure we'll all be scrambling to get them up first and give you the first feedback on 'em. ;)

(BTW-I really would take what GIBro says over there at R3D to be R3D's policy, he has a real bad tendancy to type faster than he thinks. I don't usually like to criticize other sites mods, but I've bumped heads with GIBro over there more than a few times and think he tends to over-react as his first instinct. )

not sound like compl. and whining, as i wanted 2 make clear in my
last post : it was just a question...
found some posts at r3d `bout increasing things with this set and
many posts like yours, so i`ll find out in the next half hour ;)

    Tried 'em, don't bother.

They really didn't like me rig, I really think these ain't intended for re-distribution to the general public and are just a specific fix for a developer as these are very un-optimized on my rig...but your own mileage may vary. (I LOST OVER 1000 ONIONS! )

the 6275 driver is not a good set, its been tested and played with and Driverheaven will not be associated with it or "leaking". we have had the set for days already.

This set is not for public use IMO. some people might have success, but trust me ive tested it on quite a few systems.

ATI will be releasing an official set shortly, until then I recommend you all wait.

PLEASE don't get mad at me Z, but...

...I'm gonna break with tradition and re-open one you closed just to stick up one more shout about Omegadrive's latest. They are a real gem, one of the good ones.

If you're looking for new drivers to play with, the latest O-man's release is really worth a look! :D
