AMD Athlon Processors Awarded PC Magazine Award AMD Athlon(tm) 64 and AMD Opteron(tm) Processors Awarded PC Magazine Award for Technical Excellence SUNNYVALE, CA-November 24, 2003-AMD today announced that PC Magazine honored the AMD Athlon(tm) 64 and AMD Opteron(tm) processors with the 2003 Award for Technical Excellence in the Components category. The AMD Athlon 64 processor for desktops and notebooks and the AMD Opteron processor for servers and workstations both provide simultaneous 32-bit performance and 64-bit capability based on industry standards.
