I've noticed that with my RAM Corsair XMS Series PC3200 512MB Low Latency with Platinum Heatspreaders.

I cant run 5-2-2-2, 6-2-2-2, 6-2-3-2, the tightest setting I can run is 6-3-2-2, which is good enough for me.

AND I tried 10x200@1.5V with all these settings, monitor wouldn't even turn on, so I guess my XP1700 chip doesn't like 10x multiplier.

    I like 11x better anyway :)

    I have 5-3-3-2

Is it bad if the RAS access time is a low value?

Are you kidding me?? 11? Why on earth would I want to slow down my memory speed. I think I will stick with the high scores I get at 5-2-2-2.

did you check out my thread in the Tweaking section ! no i think not.... i garantee you my 11.2.2.2.0 will beat your memory benchmarks at those settings 5.2.2.2.0 <<<< i use to use those settings you have and trust me at 200FSB+ 11.2.2.2.0 will beat you .

Yes I did read your thread as well as the one that was linked to. And as the forum thread stated in more than one instance, the 11 setting did not increase performance for everyone, as some people found that other setting worked better for there system, as far as the scores. No reason for you to get all defensive and jump to conclusions.

My score came in at 16 112. I find that rather disapointing when I see other people are comming in at 18 000+. I've spent so much money to update my pc with all the latest toys and bought only the best of the best. I must have some settings wrong or something.

Nice looking computer.....not sure I would say that you have the best of the best though.....but anyway:D Have you done all the little overclocking tweaks to your 5900? And what kind of scores are you getting on everything else.....ie......Sandra for CPU and memory, PCMark 2002, 3DMark2001SE. With the components that you have you should be able to break 18000 without a problem. Something must not be set right. If you have those scores handy maybe some of us can help you get it tweaked to where you need to be. I can tell you right now.....that with your system specs....it is just something small that isn't right.

Also check out the setting that TuEKiD is using for his score. If you use his setting's as an example and tune the overclock on your vid card you should be able to compete with him pretty easily.

Temps. (just 5 min LOAD with sandra. cpu 100%)

    Bios setting's
    CPU frequency - 200mhz
    Multiple - 11
    Interface - Aggressive
    Memory frequency - by SPD
    Result - 200 Mhz
    Active pre-charge - 11
    RAS to CAS - 3
    RAS Precharge - 2
    CAS latency - 2

    Cpu Vcore - 1.725 = 1.775 on this mobo
    DDR Voltage - 2.6
    AGP Voltage - 1.5

    Graphics aperture size 256
    AGP Frequency - auto=66 I think
    AGP 8x - enabled
    AGP Fastwrites - enabeled
    Bios Cacheable - disabled
    Ram Cacheable - disabled

    Whaat else???

All drivers completly up to date. GPU driver is the Starstorm 45.23 performance drivers. Bios is 1006(new).

    Hey driver !!

Looks to me like your not really overclocking that system.

    FSB 200 ??

    Come on man!!

Give it some juice (vcore) and boost up your fsb.

A 1700+ tbred can get better results without even breaking a sweat.

    That 12x200 is peanuts.

I had a barton 2500+ for testing that had much higher scores in sandra than your 2800+

Exampl. i had around 13k in multimedia and about 9300 in arithmetic.

Here is my latest 3dmark with an fsb of 225

    3dmark2001se

Also note that aggresive settings on your ram may need some more vdim voltage (take it to 2.9v...its not that dangerous).

Btw thw asus you have isnt really great for overclocking.....my choice would have been an epox (8RDA3+) or the Abit nf7-s ver2.
Your asus if im not mistaken only gives you a vcore of 1.85 max and that isnt enough if you want to squeeze your cpu for all the mhz it has.

Just remember to keep your cpu under 2.47 gig and you should get a stable OC at around 220x11 but 1.85v at least.

Personaly i have a tbred 2600+ (333) running at 2.46 as we speak but with a vcore of 1.92v.

So to finish this i want you to understand that it isnt just the 2400mhz that your running at that maters but how you got it (12x200 is not as good as 220x11).

    One more thing:

Auto on the AGP freq is not 66.....lock it at 66 or your agp will follow the cpu fsb(not good)

Did you look at the title of the thread?? "AMD guys: your highest "200fsb" bench 3dmark2001se" This thread is for getting the highest performance at a max of 200fsb.

Driver7......I am still checking on some things to help you get your score up, haven't forgotten about you.

Well Fast Writes are supposed to bypass the memory (onboard i think) and write directly to from cpu to gpu so if your system is unstable or incompatible with this feature the errors will cut you down or even crash the app.
