    three options

I'm running Norton 2003 at home right now since I got a free demo-license good for 12 months. Its nice getting vendor-scratch to encourage a favourable review of their software for my company... :)

Our corporate standard is Trend Microscan...free copies for everyone (site license), at home and work. I'd use it if not for Norton, but i have a slight concern that its 'corporate friendly' configuration might blow away amusing e-mails or files (e.g. "Monkeyboy.mpg is not a corporate environment friendly application and will be quarantined").

AVG is what I recommend to everyone else. The only disadvantage with 'free' is that one day it might become 'not-free' without any advance notice.

I voted Norton, but not really as my sig states I am using Symantec, which is the corporate side of Norton, or Norton is the consumer side of Symantec. One or the other.

I'm using Norton Internet Security 2005. I like the fact that it does everything for me (firewall, antivirus, pop-up/ad blocker, spam filter).

I'd like to switch to NOD32 or AVG as they both are more lightweight than Norton, however I'm bored to change... because then I'll have to get programs to replace the rest of the suite's capabilities (probably Sygate Firewall, Popupcop and MailWasher)

Couldnt stand Norton, and the 10 second startup time it takes when booting startup programs...

    NOD32 - 90% - the fastest and most optimized
Norton - 97% - this thing sucks, always hated it
McAfee - 96% - not worth it for me
    KAV 5 - 99% - good, but a little buggy
NOD32 has the highest detectin rate for unknown malware due to advanced heuristics, even before advanced heuristics it still was better than KAV for unknown malware. It won all the virus bulletin 100% tests over the years.
    NOD32 - real time
KAV 5 - on demand scanner

I use Mcafee 7, very good program

Left Norton, cause the program became to heavy for system

In the past did use MCAfee too, but there were some problems with updates, so I went to Norton, but now back at McAfee and everything works fine

McAfee also finds more trojan horses and can be installed on a machine with viruses, where Norton gives an error
