With most of the world focused on ATI recently some images and benchmarks have emerged from mymypc.com of the forthcoming 5750 graphics card. This card is set to be targeted at the more cost conscious end user with a supposed price in the $150 area. The Juniper HD5750 will comprise 1,120 stream processors running at 700mhz and a 128 bit memory bus tied into GDDR5 memory running at 4,600mhz. This will mean 73.6gb/s of bandwidth and 1.57TFLOPS of compute performance. If all goes well we expect to see this hitting between the £110-120 price point in the UK. It should be a big seller for ATI with a rather large cooler however it looks to be taking up more than a single slot.
Looks like an old lawn mower....... Aftermarket coolers will probably be popular on this card. Nice price point though.
Judging by the bracket, it's sure to be taking up more than a single slot. The price sounds lovely, though.
looks like a nice bit of engineering, with both reasonable length and power draw (only one 6-pin connector).
Slightly edging 4850 in the uncertain numbers that have yet to appear. Wait for a review before deciding. With the decently sized fan it might perhaps be fairly quiet. I like that they are not afraid to make it dual slot. There should be a 55x0 or 56x0 series for smaller systems later in this year.
Based on the specs it should be faster than the 4850 in all cases and faster than the 4890 when it isn't limited by memory bandwidth, but as always we will see when the benchmarks come out. Either way the 5750 and 5770 are looking to be really good cards under the $200 (US)price range.
