ATI has released the new version of their MMC software (now version 9.1)
Get it here
Thanks for the headsup chaos and the feedback twixt.
Use Windows Media Player and Power DVD 5.0
MMC is crap...
You just need DVD Decoder
Someone needs a nap...
Are there any issues in using ATI's MMC and the Omega 4.6 drivers?
Or, are the two completly unrelated?
Highly disagree!! :uhoh: While not as pretty or feature rich as other mm appz......for the average joe mmc is just fine!!
As far as the omega drivers.... they seem to be working fine... tv-dvdplayer..etc.
I have a question, what is MMC?
Multi-Media Center. Atis own tv-dvd-media softwareplayers. They come with the all in wonder series of vid cards.
Ahhh, for AIW cards. I have a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro, the install disc does not include MMC.
I should probably skid this then.
actually i think it comes with all Built By ATi cards...as my 8500 had MMC on the cd(my sapphire 9800 pro does not)
MMC is included with most built-by cards, as my 9700pro has it.
The comment made about MMC not being up to par, is correct. The individual doesn't need a nap. The ATI dvd decoder and software are not the best considering the price paid just the own the 9700pro or the other high-end cards.
If you download the trial versions of power dvd or the other brands, you will see those demos alone out pace the ATI solution.
You're right! I remember now, my ATI 8500 had it on the install disc as well.
You know, I do have Power DVD 5, it came with my Sapphire 9800, and it seems to work pretty good to me. And if I'm ever in a pinch, even WMP 9 handle DVD's pretty well.
Bah Humbug.
Where's your nutty colors?
MMC does come in handy if you have a TV tuner/capture card. I have tried a bunch of the other software solutions for this task....and I seem to like the convience of MMC. But I still use other software for DVD playback just for the extended options alone.
ATI DVD player has poor options, and the sound support is horrible. Power DVD 5 is doing much better.
ATI CD and VCD player is joke comparing to Windows Media Player...
ATI TV is ok for ATI TV cards, and I don't think there is better solution for it.
NVIDIA DVD Player is much better than ATI's counterpart. I have ATI video card, which is great and drivers as well. But, i'm an objective person, and i know what's good and what's bad.
My advise is:
ATI DVD Decoder + Power DVD + Windows Media Player + DIVX codecs + ATI TV for TV cards...
I want to say that ATI TV cards are horrible. The picture is bad and sound support as well. I preffer videomate with the digital chip on it. Even you connect your analog cable tv, the card converts the signal into digital and the picture on the screen of your monitor is AWESOME...
Dont even need ATI DVD Decoder. It installs really old versions of the cyberlink codecs.
By the way, my retail ATI cd was damaged in shipping and the company (alienware) doesnt know how to send the correct cd. Each time I call them, they send me some 3rd party cd that doesnt have MMC. Is there some kind of crack though? I'm assuming that it asks for a retail cd during installation, just like the ATI DVD decoder does.
You can download and install MMC....but you need a cd for the DVD decoder.

Posting a download link for warez is against DH rules. Since the ATI DVD Decoder requires a CD for authentification, in order to install, the file that you posted a link to is considered warez.:hmm:
Separate names with a comma.
