i've stuck with nvidia ever since i bought my gf3... but if someone were to give me either a GFFX (5800) or a radeon 97/800, i would definitely go for the radeon.
just you wait though ATI might become bloated and too big and garner too much of the market...then then then.....ah hell , ATI over Nvidia anyday..
I love ATi's hardware. I don't love their Linux drivers. I *hate* their Linux drivers  I like NVidia's Linux drivers. I *hate* Nvidia's hardware (well, except for the 128-bit precision on the 5900, I have to admit).
all this ATi vs. Nvidia stuff. How about whoever has the best at the time of purchase? ATi is king of the hill for time being.
When I get a GeForce FX 5900 ultra, not only will I not be smoking somthing :evil:hallucinogenic:evil:, I will be smoking radeon @$$!
Hav an easy life Try my meathod. Costs a bit of money. Ive got P4 & Radeon AMD & ge Force pII & Rage And ST1040 and Atari Falcon Now if you want really trouble free graphics and OS try my Atari 1040 its nearly 15 yrs old and MIDI? Its stable as in rock solid. Erm is this off topic?
Atari? I remember ATARI, purposefully put here by an alien race to screen out canidates for star commands experimental fighters.....right?
nVidia had good cards and a great reputation as a company just 9 short months ago. They now are gasping for air and grasping at straws. ATI meanwhile has raised the bar on both performance and IQ. They also have actual employees who listen and try to help the buyer's of their products. A very forward looking and innovative company. All this may change in a year or two. ATI and nVidia may not even be around anymore in a year or two. But atm, ATI rules the roost.
Think ATI is going to win pretty nice I'm using ATI Cards from the Rage 128 Pro & then Radeon & Now I'm still using the R8500LE but will be upgrading next month to the R9600 . Didn't have many problem actually, mayby just in the beginning of the Radeon a few but can't complain Greetz
I'd definitely have to go with ATI on this one, even if I am a little late. Quality, Price, and Performance = ATI.
ATI... You must wait years for the hallucinogenic smoke to clear, that would explain : :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:
ATI RADEON Plus now that I can play the Dawn demo on my Radeon theres no reason to buy a FX
For 12 years ive been a nvidia guru...It was hard to switch to ATI, but im glad i did...They kick ass.. Yet at same time i am crazy, so if nividia comes out with something that is cheaper than the ATt's top stuff and performs better ill go back..But i dont think thats gonna happen for a long time...
