As pointed out in the Guide, use all 3:
adaware, Spybot search & destroy & Spyware blaster
and in the same order, just follow the guide lines and nothing can go wrong... :)

Yep, yep. Those are what I use too.

One thing I've noticed is that when I use Netscape 7.1 to browse, I don't get any spyware or tracking cookies built up...and I mean NONE. If I use IE, BAM! Lots of spyware and tracking cookies. So there's another way to help avoid that spyware junk. Hopefully, the SP2 update (when it becomes OFFICIAL) will cure that little 'bug' in IE.

look for something called Bazooka Adware Spyware Scanner too, it doesn't remove anything but it shows up Dialers and Downloader stuff that my !updated! ad-aware fails to detect, and gives you links to their site which contains information and removal instructions for anything it finds. but you shouldn't have a problem if you use the guide :)

I do not know anything about that program Craig. You have a link to it? I ask because there are some programs that give false positives and then ask you to pay to remove the so called spyware and then there are those who claim to remove spyware and then happen to be spyware themselves or add spyware to the computer. I can only recommend what I know for sure is legit and works.

I must say ad-aware. Spybot Search & Destory has been lacking in updates lately. Ad-aware has updates all the time and a good gui.

Thats gotta be the worst program to ever be invented...!!! I trusted my computer when i first got it a year ago and it told me i had no adware /spyware. aAfter using it for a month and having it not detect anything i knew something was wrong. I installed ad aware and it found 300+ critical objects:oops: ...

DO NOT USE BAZOOKA ANYONE...... DIE BAZOOKA!!!!!!!!!!
