I believe he means that if you download the trial verson of Windows Server 2003 you can use the processor driver that comes with it in Windows XP.

Well, the processor is already using Windows XP's default processor driver - which depending on if you're using the Home or Pro version can support 1 or 2 CPUs. Windows Server 2003 supports more physical processors, 4 I think, and is optimized for certain CPUs (Xeon, Opteron). So it you're using more than one CPU it may have some effect, but I doubt it.

i think what he meant was to replace the XP's 'Processor Device Driver' files with the ones from Win2K3.
if so, then you'll need to get the file from the Win2K3 installed folder (its usually in the \system32\Drivers folder). i could be wrong as always, so let wait for his reply..

Here you guys go! I just pulled this from 2003 server.

Grab it here and see how it goes. Just remember, you can not blame me or anyone on DH for any problems that may occur.

    Download

By the way, this is for AMD K7 processors, you know, Athlon XP's and the like.
