Anyone willing to post some results on the AMD driver in here? I am interested to know how this works and if there are any issues.

I will host the Intel driver tomorrow evening unless someone beats me to it. Time for me to go to bed.

Neon, this isn't such a crazy mod. I've seen crazier ones like 9800 XT bios flashing for 9800 pro's and 9800 SE's. Now that is crazy. :duh:

    I believe the P4 driver is called processr.sys in Win2K3, can't check it though since i don't have 2003 installed anymore :(

Jeez guys, I really doubt some new processor driver will increase performance, someone try and bench. If it does it will probably only be with 64 bit AMD stuff.

I gave this driver a shot and have been running it for the past day on windows XP with an AMD 2200. Performance seems fine but I haven't thoroughly ran any tests yet. My system has been stable so there has been no degredation from using a driver from Server 2003. My CPU temps are the same and the only game I've tried it with is an Open GL game called Savage which is heavily CPU dependant(at least on my system it uses 100%)and I SEEM to get almost 10 FPS more and my CPU utilization seems to drop more frequent then before. I'm also using a 9800 Pro. I would have to do more benching with a few more apps, perhaps with 3DMark to have something concrete. But as I said my system has been stable for the past day with no hiccups so I'm assuming this is safe to use. The driver version of this file is 5.2.3790.0 (srv03_rtm.030324-2048). I'll post back if I have anything new to add.

    Ok. It works.

I ran PCMark2004 and got a score of 3288 and then re-ran the test after installing the 2003 driver. Got a score of 3307 - not a huge difference and I'm not sure how much the margin of error is.

Hmm, can you run it a few times and see if you always get more then before?
