very nice. That's the same kind as I'm looking at getting. At this point, the 46" looks big enough for my room...I was really impressed when I seen the aquos' in action at the store.

I'm happy with my 27" Sony Wega. Besides 99.9 percent of the time I'm using my laptop with a HD 17" WS display anyhow. Although if I was getting one of those behemoths, I would go with Sharp. That or Sony. Very nice TV. Damn you rich people and your money. Damn you.

Right now I don't have the time needed to do a good indepth review of this tv. I will say however that in the last year I have probably seen around 100-150 LCD tvs and this is by far the best I have seen. Obviously the fact I bought it is a good testament to that. It is an amazing screen, especially if you put the right signal into it. HD DVD really makes it shine.

I also bought a DVI to HDMI converter cable today and seeing this running PC games at 1920x1080 resolution is something to behold .. even a 30 inch Dell monitor pales into comparison. granted its not 2560x1600, but the extra 22 inches somewhat compensate for that !

I also see absolutely no ghosting at all due to the 4ms screen, and there is even a function for "action" which apparently analyses the picture even further for material like fast moving sports. This 8th generation LCD is simply loaded with menu options and high tech settings. I even hooked up some external speakers to the line out and the built in amplifer is very clear. Obviously with poorer sources like standard cable via scart its not quite as nice as high definition but there are options such as 3D - Y/C which again analyses the picture for dot crawl and cross colour noise and compensates. you also have backlight options as well as contrast which allows very fine adjustment of the image. Other settings include "film mode" and truD(R) which helps on poorer sources by enhancing contrast and sharpness with advanced video algorthims (even gives you a split screen to show the differences).... i could be here for quite a while going through the menu options. I also like the interlaced and progressive menu options.

The seller for me, was the blacks. its the only huge LCD ive seen that gives a perfect black, like a high grade CRT. Also with the addition "crimson red" along with the RGB, the colours really are exceptionally vibrant. Also nice touches such as the pink shammy to polish the piano finish add an further feeling of quality.

These wont be easy to miss in a store, there is normally a huddle of people around them. they stand out a mile.
