Some screen captures from the 360 version @720p: I sometimes get so immersed in the game that I forget about getting screenshots.
I've leaned towards MoH in the early 2000's but that series has declined up until recently while CoD series has gotten much more exciting and cinematic. The only knocks I have against Modern Warfare and CoD games are the 'on the rails' approach to level design and constant grenade & RPG spamming by the AI (been like that since CoD 2) otherwise I can't understand how people wouldn't want to play them. I haven't even touched the multiplayer in a CoD game in years and would still recommend them all.
Who's playing this on PC? Are the reports of problems with stuttering founded? I loved MW2 from a SP standpoint, but I'm one that felt not having dedicated servers really killed the MP on the PC. I know this game has some support for dedicated servers, but they must be purchased (or something). How does this work? Is the MP on the PC any good? Are there enough servers to enjoy?
Steam auto-downloaded a patch last night, but I didnt' check yet if it fixed the issue. I actually haven't played MP yet.
Call of Duty: Black Ops - Multiplayer Friends fix for join in progress and Friends tab in server browser Performance improvement for dual and quad core systems
For those playing MP [which I'm not] I'm reading that there are horrible problem with the spawning in the game. Comments?
I have yet to figure out what anyone sees in yet another FPS game. Never did care for them myself. No I don't have, nor ever plan to get this game.
There are FPS and then there are FPS with a story. I pretty much only care for those that have a good story element. Never did care for Unreal Tournament or games like it. It's one reason I really don't get into MP with these games, too. And, this one has a pretty good story!
Ridiculously Expensive. I'll swallow the thin end of an M16 and pull the trigger before i pay that much.
I wonder how long, before Black ops get down to a decent price... Modern Warfare 2 is still selling for 25£ ... fucking retarded.
I agree with you "fucking retarded", but it might actually be a long wait. The more popular the game and the more sales it makes then the longer we have to wait for platinum release. I think that for FSP playing it on the PC is still the best and its way cheaper than getting it for the console.
Well, Honestly, I buy games for Multiplayer purposes only, Single-Player is only a bonus for me... Well, this game looks like a mix of MW2 and the ont that got out after MW1, the vietnam vesrion thingy, can't remember it's name. Looked at the weapons list, and fankly, if I already have MW2, and Bad Company 2 (Soon Vietnam), than I really don't think it's worth buying. I will probably give it a shot at a friend who has it, but I'm not so excited to get it... I think that Multiplayer-wise it's not different from MW2, it's even the same engine, and 90% same guns, so what's the point?? Bad Company2 is currently my favourite game, and soon, with BC2: Vietnam, it will crusj all other opponents if you'd ask me... If you really think that this game is worth buying, I would love to hear the reasons, maybe I'll change my mind.
