    Can't get rid of the MFT file in Sp2 rc2

    Someone knows how?
    The old trick here under what worked in sp1 Failed .

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
    NtfsMftZoneReservation
    =dword:00000001-->12.5%(Default)
    =dword:00000002-->25%
    =dword:00000003-->37.5%
    =dword:00000004-->50%

    The MFT file is 28 GB on a 120 GB Sata drive it should be 10->14 GB.

    Can someone help me with this to get rid of it?

    Thanks in advanced.

    The MFT reserved area is not a file, is not really taking up as much space as it keeps reserved, and it will get you nothing to mess with it. When the free space of the drive shrinks so will also the MFT reserved area, so that you don't really loose storage space because of it being there. It's just an integral part of the NTFS filesystem. Don't fight it.
