we know that modifying cars has been around for decades, its getting even more popular now with the street racing crowd. manufacturers have their own divisions or companies that work side-by-side with them (i.e. ford and shelby). what is your favorite tuner label?

ive always been preferential to Shelby. that man makes some truely insane cars.

although, Lingenfelter is also a master of the Chevy tuneing division.

in there respected fields, there both grade A tuners.

lingenfelter corvettes are scary, I was just creating a poll and i accidently closed the window

i like AMG or MOPAR/SRT. SRT is doing one hell of a job nowadays with the street cars. MUGEN and TRD are the best for street racers

ya, i do have to admit that those new SRT's are actually really nice. an SRT Neon may still be a Neon, but its one i would actually consider driveing.

about 2 weeks ago i was at a little car show, mostly old muscle. i was wandering through looking at the vettes and this newer C5 catches my eye, something just didnt look right about it. i go over to it and take a look under the hood... Lingenfelter. i actually stood next to a very real Lingenfelter Corvette.

i stood there drooling over it for way too long.

srt-4 pushes out 220 horses with brembos out of the showroom. pretty impressive for compact american car. also its so lightweight it can do some serious damage on the street.

the new shelby mustang, now that is a mustang

either way, its still being built by Shelby and has a huge ass V-10 @ 600HP in it.

at the Chicago auto show this year they had about half a dozen Saleen 05's there. they look very very nice in person.

oh yea, on what's on the line up for honda

i don't know if they have it in japan, but the NSX-R concept is solid
    [IMG]
i think this might be the NSX-T here in north america, i see more vettes than this car

the successor to the NSX will be the HSC in about 2 years, best looking car out of japan i would say. it's gonna be MR again i just hope its more than only 300 horses.

It's not from a tuner company (sorta it's built by saleen, but it's not their car) but I REALLY like the Ford GT
    [IMG]

carrol shleby also helped make the viper. you can see a little bit of the cobra styling. the new designer of the second gen viper designed the old camry, you can see a bit more jap influence in the viper.

STI is a top rally contender but i hate what they did with the upcoming impreza WRX STI, looks terrible IMO
