I was able to install these without modding, but not with the setup program. It instated everything but the drivers, had to install drivers through device manager. Seems to work fine after a reboot. Mobility Radeon HD 3870 X2.

 

Right when I figured out how to make a new custom INF too. Oh well, I'll just throw it out the window.

 

Hopefully you mean the .INF and not the computer........

 

You didnt miss a thing trust me.

None of them were any better than the 9.12 hotfix driver.You could still mod them to work fine.

 

Let's hope so, it would be a waste of hardware to dump a pc only because of some moron driver that refuses to install!!

 

Yeah I'm keeping my comp. I didn't get that frustrated with it yet.

But seriously, it took me like 2 hours to figure out all the changes they made to the INF and I had just finished importing the Mobility Modder settings to it and finally got a successful install when this showed up on the forums. I have to admit though that the Mobility settings for ATI's new INF are probably way more up to date than the settings that Mobility Modder had so this is probably still way better.

this driver does not seem to be perfect.
it installed fine for me, but after an reboot everytime i get an taskplanner failure message, that it has stopped working. the hole system gets very slow. the only solution was an complete system restore and an new installation of catalyst 9.12+mobilitymodder.

They work perfectly with me...maybe some annoying problems since they are an unofficial beta. Hopefully, the official release will be flawless.

 

After I install it, it still says I'm running 10.1 on my CCC. Anyone else have this problem?

Yup, thats what I thought. I was just making sure the driver installed correctly.

 

any news on when the final drivers will be released?

 

In March. ATI releases drivers monthly.

Installed the 10.3 on my Acer (Windows 7) with an 4570 an now its shown as "Radeon Mobility 4500 Series".

And it doesnt change to Radeon 3200 if I work with the battery-mode.

And thats what I wanted

 

But that's only for Win7 ain't it?:sigh:

don't install those preview drivers guys, just wait for the upcoming official ones
