I'd say about two weeks until the officials are out. Wouldn't hurt to get them early but I've been aching for these drivers anyways.

you guys realise it's so close to offical time ....why are you bothering with those drivers?

Why not wait for the more offical and less buggy ones? Don't say you can't wait

Ati should do something about the hosters of said leaks

They are probably the same as the official that will be released in two weeks (at least it was like that last time).

it absolutely baffles me why people cant just wait a few weeks for a driver ! ATI release a set a month, its not as if people are having to wait 6 months for a driver. you will also be assured the driver offered on ATIs download site will be the set ATI want you to install and wont have installer or corruption issues etc.

Its impossible to stop these threads popping up - people want to talk about them - but have you noticed we havent posted leaked ATI drivers front page for a long time? there is a reason. Driverheaven officially doesnt support leaks or the installation of leaks so if you guys run into problems with these drivers dont expect us or ATI staff to help solve issues. But feel free to talk about them if you wish.

Wait until the officials are released, they wont be long.

Just a quick question for Cowboy and MindlessOath.... Why are leaked bete drivers a bad thing...I mean it gives people who DL em a chance to try em out and report probs with em... its like ATI has thousands of beta testers on hundreds of different system setups, instead of the handfull they use .?...If there are major problems and people dont like them ATI can say "hey...there beta"..and if they work well then ATI knows there on the right track...

Personaly im tired of drivers comin out that dont fix certain problems or create new ones..All ATI has to do is browse some forums for feed back about the betas and act accordingly with the official ones...Just a thought..feel free to correct me :)

These are 8.04's. I heard that there is a newer 8.05 set that ATI will pass around. As for why I d/l these? I only expand the OpenGL file and stick that in my System32 folder. I don't do a full install unless it's an official release.
