I have two sisters who work within the NHS or Council related Care team, Who both have to wear face Masks and then a Visor on top of that. That is not including the disposable outfits.

And neither of them has seen there old man since the uk had introduced the lockdown. Due to Alzheimer's they are keeping the distance. And I know that is killing them the most that they can not visit or see him at these times.. And certainly do not want to pass anything on to him...

Wearing a Mask in the public is good, if they are only facing you... ! But that does depend on the mask that is being used.. !

While I am still able to work, I cleaned a business that supplies Velcro & Elastic to the NHS, we had to wear a face Mask... They were irritable to be honest...

Have you thought if you are behind someone wearing a Face mask and have thought about the Backflow from them... :(

And I will take it you will pick up the Mail posted through the letterbox via the Postman/Women without wearing gloves.... !

Have you Gone Shopping and used a Chip & Pin and always used disposable gloves.

Used Supermarket Trolley without cleaning the handle... or used disposable gloves.

I've got some basic surgical masks, they do a pretty good job of hugging my chin and cheeks, it's only around the nose that they are not really snug. I don't thing that they create too much backflow.

On a side note, I also have a pair of FFP1 masks meant for construction work. I don't know if they filter air better or worse than the surgical ones (my guess is that they aren't worse), but with a little fiddling they do make a decent seal.

My daughter-in-law works at a Veterinary Clinic and has been making masks for a few weeks now. She makes them with a strip in the bridge of the nose area that allows for forming tightly over the nose. They work well. And, she's making them of the material recommended as well as some that have a pocket for the insertion of a disposable filter. People are actually buying them from her and the clinic gave permission to place them at the front for their clients.

McDonalds is definitely -not- worth waiting that long for. I'd sooner wait for Asian cusine than McDonalds.

Jesus so much of that is such bollocks I just don’t know where to begin

how about I just keep it simple with: re the mask thing I trust many many experienced virologists ahead of a fucking window cleaner...
so I’ll keep wearing a mask.

Sorry, but my point were only intended to be a little like there is no way anyone can keep clear of Covid 100%...No I am not saying I know better (Far from It) it were meant that not all Masks work as they should in general...

Just to say that I do Have GP's, And Surgeons on my round and have all said similar to what I intended…

    Nothing More that that.

Face Masks are too difficult to get hold of in England...

Most stores have donated them to the NHS and even if you can order them they can be a two week wait online.

It's close to impossible to be 100% safe. But, taking precautions, including masks, disposable gloves, etc all help reduce the chance of getting infected.
So do whatever you can, every little helps.
Yes wearing simple masks might only protect you (random number) 60% of the time, but if you don't wear them you get zero of that 60%.
    And so on.
    Good luck everyone.

I saw it on a news portal earlier today. Surely it won't stay that way for long?!
