They live about 300 miles from where I live and the only one of my 4 kids who don't live nearby. They were tested positive which is why they are in quarantine until the 10th. They have many friends in that area since they moved there 6 years ago. Many of those friends are delivering meals to their front porch, and what groceries they need are being delivered by the local Publix they use...or whatever other store they order from. So, at this point, they are covered on several points.
Thanks for all the well wishes and concern!

Thanks, and, yes, they are fairly young and in otherwise good health. He exercises quite a bit and does early morning bike rides..5-10 mile rides IIRC...but, of course hasn't been able to since this happened. But, both are in their late 40s...and not in the high warning ages.

Heard from her yesterday and again today. They both are beginning to feel like their old selves again. She sent a message the other night that her sense of smell returned just all of a sudden. He had issues with his sense of taste off an on for awhile. She described this virus as a very weird one and the pains and breathing issues unlike anything they've ever experienced before.

One of my better half's office mates was tested for covid after experiencing some chest pain and breathing problems. The test came back negative and his symptoms ceased in the meantime, which means that he'll be off to a cardiologist next, as it all potentially points to a mild hearth attack. He had a similar experience in April too, although that time he did not see a doctor. With that in mind, he was actually hoping for it to be coronavirus. Fingers crossed that it isn't anything too bad, I have met him and he is a great guy.

As of this afternoon, the dealership where I work is requiring us to wear a mask anytime we are inside the building. The reason: one of the service drive valets tested positive for the virus.

Take care @Dyre Straits. Money is not worth our health at the end of the day.

They are checking our temperature at the start of our work shift. And, requiring the masks. Here in Georgia, the state is opening with certain restrictions. However, our state is one of those doing the most "wide open" opening of all the states. And, the curve is still quite flattened...and constantly monitored.

They have decided that schools in England will open as normal from Sept, No social distancing at all other than keeping different years apart from each other

    seems like suicide to me

BTW hows the family Dyre they all still doing well?

I don't know what's the right thing to do anymore. It's questionable how sustainable are the restrictive measures over a prolonged period and it's by now obvious that a lot of time has been more or less wasted on half measures that prevented normal flow of life more than the flow of the virus (or the right measures came late, when the virus already was widespread).

But I agree, schools and kindergartens are perfect incubators for a disease like this.

Well, Darwin was right. While we will probably survive this, it doesn't look too good for any future encounter with an even bigger threat.
