    Good afternoon,

I am wondering if anyone has ever used Crucial Ballistix PC12800 (12 GB) kits in an ASUS Rampage II Gene motherboard.

I ask because I recently purchased 12 GB of Ballistix memory (1.5 V), and I seem to encounter a BSOD upon initial boot-up--regardless of what voltage the memory is set at or the tightness or looseness of the timings. I currently have the memory set to the XMP Profile (8-8-8-24-2T), and those settings seem to be completely stable within the OS and within gaming.

I only get a BSOD referencing a memory error upon the initial boot-up. Has anyone else experienced similar behaviour with this memory and motherboard combination? I do have my BIOS completely up-to-date, so I have done pretty much everything that I can to ensure total compatibility.

    Kind regards,

    Jordan Reil

    :hmm:
