Looks beautiful and that thing about no restrictions or invisible walls to stop us, does that mean we can jump in the water and head away from the island and keep going that the island will get farther away and will we be eaten by sharks or whales or pirahna, and or drown. Will we reach other islands or a mainland if we decided to swim for hours or days in one direction. I know most people wouldn't do this, but I find it interesting. I like to explore so I would probably be the one to find out.
It's probably a small world afterall. If you swim far enough in one direction, you'll come up on the opposite side of the island that you left.
I really wouldn't care if they kept the same graphics. Farcry graphics are still amazing even now. What I want them to do is more physics interactivity.
Or a little more effort when designing monsters... Something other than mister low poly sharkman, monkeyman or pigman will surely do.....please :dead:
Stop complaining World of Warcraft had far worse low poly animations for a newer gamer but a lot of people loved it (not me)
Gametrailers.com has an amazing comparaison of the Xbox360 Farcry which should reflect a bit the future PC farcry...
Go ahead and compare a realistic representation graphics engine to a fantasy mmorpg, that makes sense lol. I think Farcry had crappy looking monsters, regardless of the poly count. Deal with it :tears:
I was comparing them for their graphic engines capabilities as about crappy looking monsters or aliens i have seen worse Like the ones from Halo
I know and its pointless... In one hand you have an engine designed to show off in every graphical department. In the other, an engine designed to cope with 100+ players in a single area, with an ability to load up new areas seamlessly (a lot of land to cover). In my opinion both are simply not comparable. About the halo monsters... at least they're aliens, they have an excuse  Not silly mutated plastic animals, theres no excuse for that, bar a 'rush job'. Which was probably the case considering they were competing with Doom3 and HL2 at the time. I've been replaying Far cry a little bit recently and I still get pissed off with that bug that lets those plastic monkeys jump at you, land 2-3 meters away, but still hit you :x. If they fix that, this time round, I guess I'll be content to ignore the rest
