I'm pretty sure it's D3D, not OpenGL. And it happens with AA and AF off (better performance like that). With the nVidia 71.84 it doesn't happen, though.

I am still experiencing the black screen on boot with SLI. I'm pretty sure I have the 'repack' because I downloaded the drivers after the repack was announced in this thread.

    Is there a fix?

Are you guys still working on the SLI issue or is it DIW due to the 76.41s?

I'd be keen to try that fix, the link in the PM didn't work.

Coud someone tell me, how to get to the refreshrate override page into these ones? 60Hz make these drivers useless... :(

...and unless I missing something, the resfeshrate override page is starndard into normal nVidia drivers, so... :duh:

    Where, for christ sake?! :bleh:

Well, I skiped the "boot into safemod, use Drivercleaner" part, as I did not understand pretty much the Drivercleaner stuff.
It just allow me to run some sort of - seems - generic driver clean or something???
I ques that there is only there there selections that does matter for me:

    nVidia
nVidia Stereo (probably for doual displays?!)
nVidia WDM (HQL signed drivers only?!)

But under none of them I did not see a thing? Okay, I try the safemode then... :bleh:

I think it means virtual "glasses"
I think it's just "protocol"/"port" how some drivers are being made, like tvtuner in ATI Wonders for example needs different kind of hardware calls and can be done better via WDM-type of drivers.

Choose nvidia and press start and that should clean last traces. I myself remove some files by hand when reinstalling drivers(from program files), but only just to be clean. call me perfectionist if you like :)

    Nope, you are right.
I doing same things and Im a perfectionist.

Now running 66.81 and quessing that my card is not OC at all, from the performance I getting, even I OC it into the bios - looks like the drivers could override it, right? :( :uhoh:
    Damn.
At least any nice utility to show the actuall clocks will come handy... any tips? :duh:

Trodas, for the refreshrate thing I have found a better way. Using Riva Tuner I created a new .inf file for my monitor (a Sony G420) with the max refresh rates set for the resolutions I am likely to use (you could set all of them, but I was just lazy).

Now whenever I install a new driver, I just have to update my monitor driver to this custom one and hey presto, refreshrate override done. Very quick.

Oh, and I'm still waiting on the SLI fix for this driver fix ;). Anyone?

Sounds good, but I still looking for driver that did not give me dog-slow performance when I OC my card and it looks like I getting back to the 45.28 drivers :(

PS. the original nVidia solution was far the best and easiest one - this panes HAS to be there :annoyed:

Help! I just loaded these drivers

I just loaded these drivers because I had the tearing of icon problems with
the regular 7XXX forceware drivers. Someone had mentioned try yours.
And they work great so far but am haveing this strang problem. When I play
Doom 3 plus the new add on game if I go to save the screen goes black after save?
I exit game Ctrl Alt Delete. I can restart game and load save game no problem.
I did not have this problem with the 6xxx drivers. Any solutions?
    Thanks for any help
    Cheers

so it runs fine...until you save?

    *scratches his head*

That's a wierd one. I'll see if I can get someone to reproduce that.

By new add on you mean the expansion pack, right?

Yes the expansion pack. As is besides the save problem. The new drivers look awsome.
Also occurs when I do a save on the regular Doom 3 game.
    Cheers
