Is your driver 0.69 based on the Catalyst 6.9 Official drivers?

    Please help resolve the problem

I have problems about use of official drivers ATI CATALYST 6.8 and 6.9. The problem is described here: http://www.driverheaven.net/showthread.php?t=118027.
Essence of a problem - display corruption before Windows logon screen. With your drivers 0.68 and 0.69 of such problems is not present!!!. Whether you can suggest me and "magnificent" programmers from ATI in what a problem of official drivers? They probably will not manage... This problem in official drivers has appeared since version CATALYST 6.8. CATALYST 6.6 and 6.7 work normally.

I tried installing these for a Mobility 9000 (0x4c66). Installation completed with no problems, but after the restart DirectX didn't work. dxdiag reported that DirectDraw and Direct3D were not available. This did not occur with your 0.65 drivers. I have DirectX 9.0c running on XP SP2.

Don't use these for a Radeon 8500, telling you that now.

    dajife and Ohtaren...

Have you guys tried updating your motherboard drivers? If you're having problems with DirectX and dxdiag is reporting that DirectDraw and Direct3D were not available, you could try updating the mobo. drivers. This will certainly fix your issues.

    LordofDoom,

Why are you recommending people with the 8500 not to use the drivers? Is there any particular reason at all that we should know of?

I think basicly because the 8500 is a very weak card, and these drivers are tweaked towards image quality. A weak card would be better of with a standard driver/performance-tweaked driver instead.

There seems to be a slight conflict with one of the installer files. We will try to upload the newer files this weekend, but for now you can try forcing the driver thru the device manager. I'm pretty sure it will identify your card since the X1950XTX files are there.;) Please let me know via PM if this works for you.

Ok, I see what you mean. While it is true that the drivers are optimized toward image quality, 8500 users will benefit too since we take into consideration every card available when the drivers get modified.

    Dubel

So you in summary you want me to tell you what we do different from the ATi programers that make these drivers work on your card when the official ones don't? :D
