I got doomIII in about 14 minutes
BWX, i think it's ime for your to pick up a new mobo and CPU.... no offense but you know what I mean. Cuz you could prolly break 14K with new ram, and CPU.
Well, not only do I need a new cpu and ram, I need a new motherboard-
I will get an Nforce2 motherboard with at least 512mb of pc3200 cas2 ram. But then again, my 4200 is in serious need of a replacing 9700pro as well. While I'm at it I want an audigy or audigy2 too. (which I am getting in a few weeks). But unfortunately money still doesn't grow on trees and I just recently had my third back surgery and haven't even started physical therapy yet. Without a job currently it's tough to even pay my 400 dollar heat bill. (Workers compensation isn't making me rich), so the fun stuff has to wait.
In reality I'm lucky to have what I got-
Hopefully be able to go back to work in a month or 2, hopefully.
i download and buy... if i can afford a game i usally head to a store... i moslty download ranma episoides now
i always buy Blizzard games.... soley because they have never made a bad game.... all other games i usually get somehow... then pirate them ridiculously.. but there is usually a few people that end up really liking whatever game i give them and end up buying it for a legit cd key or just because they like it that much.... so i guess indirectly i buy some games.... eh..????? ... ???
Every game I have I bought and I have a bunch, I believe that if it is in this house it is worth buying. The people that make these games work just like I do and deserve to get paid, I don't work for free why should they?
if im unsure about a game i d/l it to try it to see if it is worth buying ...most games i have ... has been paid for
Re: Re: Can I change my answer?
What is DIGI?
For the most part since I am on dialup I buy my games. I have gotten a few single player games from friends.
Digi is short for DigitalWanderer, one of the members on the board
There's a local store that sells games ridiculously cheaply, so I buy most of my games. I have a few games I didn't buy, including C&C Tiberian Sun and Red Faction. Most of the games I play copies of I couldn't find at any stores.
I missed this. (I've been missing a LOT lately, sorry...life. ) If it wasn't directed at me, it probably should have been....
I'm seriously thinking it's time to upgrade the mobo/cpu/memory too, or at least that is "next". I think this GF4 needs some more room to run....
Any recomendations? What should I start looking for fer cheap?
Obviously AMD if you want cheap.
If I'm not sure about a game, I'll download it or borrow it off a friend first, and if I like it, I buy it, and if I don't, I uninstall it and don't play it again. I just hate spending $40+ bucks for a game to find out it sucks.
I buy almost all of mine....
I just finished counting. I currently have 84 games in my CD Racks. 71 of them are originals, the other 13 are "evaluation" copies...heh. One game I recently bought that I wish I had not was Raven Shield. The single player is ok, the graphics are pretty good, but the MP just sucks! After playing Rogue Spear, Black Thorn, Urban OPs, Ghost Recon and the like, I can't believe how badly they screwed the pooch on Raven Shields MP. For the first 2 weeks, the damn game wouldn't let my play online because it said I had an invalid CD Key. They fixed that issue with a patch, but I am still majorly disappointed with this game. I uninstalled it and don't even play anymore. The next game that I will buy will be Colin McRae 3, but I will DEFINITELY try to get a demo first.
Only if the game is good
lol old thread..
anyways i buy if the game is worth it.. thats it
Just play copies on the PC, buy most PS2 games though
I almost always try out the game with a copy, and if I like the game, being a developer myself, I feel obligated to support the developers and purchase the game. Of course, some publishers/developers have some fairly innovative stuff to convince you to buy the game, Stardock's recent game, Galactic Civilizations, is the first game that I can recall ever being sold for direct download from their website, a great idea.
All the games I play a lot, like everyday, I bought but it sure does put a hole in yer pocket!
