    Hello all

I have a SB0230 10k2, and have enabled the digital out, and it is connected to my home theater receiver via 1/8" minijack to single RCA. But when I play movies, it doesn't give me a "Dolby Digital" or "DTS" signal. I get sound, but not a true digital connection. As a matter of fact, dialogue comes out the the Center and F L, and nothing out of the F R. Very weird. Any help would be appreciated...

wait....I have a 10k2 card... and it can passthru DTS and Dolby Digital when playing DVDs

In order to get it to do that you have to set your dvd playing software to send out the DD/DTS signal via SPDIF, have "Digital Output Only" selected, "Decode SPDIF to AC3" disabled, and the AC3 passthru set to your digital out (in my case SPDIF 0

I know WMP won't do DTS over SPDIF; however PowerDVD will do this perfectly, send it over the SPDIF, and allow my outboard hardware to take care of the decoding perfectly...
