i recently restored my computer and ever since it seems to only be reading my DVDRW drive as a dvd rom.. i know it works because i used it before the restore, and i received no cd \ install pack for the drive itself.. i tried installing everything on my drivers and utilities cd that i got with my computer but still nothing. i cant see any markings on the outside to see what make \ model the drive is.. i don't have much time as i now have to leave for work, and i thought once again maybe if i post a thread here you kind people might be able to give me some hints \ advice that i haven't thought of yet.. and when i get back it will take much less time to fix and i can get straight onto GTA SA
you might need to make sure you have all the latest service packs for Xp which I am assuming you are using and any and all updates for whatever software you are using to burn discs
