Anyone remember Creative Labs sound cards when Vista came out? I'd have to go with Judas on this one. Stable drivers mean solid device and less headaches. Kissing ass? Nah, just got their shit together for this launch.

Or even better, nVidia's first 'DX9' cards :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

If ATI is kissing the ass of anyone, it's the people that use their cards.

how bout nvidia period for about 6 months after vista launched.... that there was sour enough for nvidia users.... to bad nvidia had the balls to blame windows vista for being "far more to difficult to develope drivers on" when ati had a compliant working solution before and FULLY operation driver at launch... sure a few bumps along the way mind you.. but at least there was something to work with. :p

I'd still like to see a full length video of the entire ati presentation...

I just wonder what`s the period until games actually start using that technology.

It took them enough time with DX 10, and there`s only one game I`m aware that uses 10.1 (HAWX).

Still, I`m really glad ATI is right there:)

Since Catalystmaker's homeys from AMD_Unprocessed aren't answering, maybe you can shine a light on this case CM.

Youtube.com/watch?v=s10Zu7C4Q9s is a DX11-techdemo but from '08. Means DX11-hardware was there way b4 Computex 09? What are your comments?

    if i recall right..

that was showcasing dx11 techdemo using a directx 11 SDK software emulation mode.

I've done it before using the SDK to see what Shader model 3 and 4 was going to look like using my radeon 9800pro..... it was slow .... but it worked..... and if you can set the preprocessing up quite high so that it prerenders everything in advance to make it playback smooth.

DX 11 has some really great features that I'm hoping game developers really take advantage of. It will only make things better for us. =)
