eBay in patent fight over 'Buy It Now'

    NORFOLK, Va. - A small Virginia company in a patent fight with eBay Inc. asked a federal judge Tuesday to stop the online auction powerhouse from using its "Buy It Now" feature allowing shoppers to buy items at a fixed price.

    I agree the U.S. patent system SUCKS and needs fixed and those running it need
    thier head examined

    I agree. Making the ability for people to purchase instantly shouldn't be patented. Not only that the company that is suing doesn't even use the patent.

    rediculous Im so sick of this "sue happy" world. Come on... I can see going to the judge saying hey... they are using this... stop it. If you lose money over it... then you can have comopensation but they don't deserve money.

    they should get NOTHING, in fact the judge should FINE the suer / make
    them pay ALL tha ateerny fees make people planning these suits think
    twice... then rule thier pantent to ebay.
