Hi all! I've also been surprised to find out that E-mu 1616m is not supported on Mac...
I don't know what to do, either go back to Windows or buy a new card... If someon could find a way how to make 1616m work on Mac OS X that would be awsome.

    Thanks!

    it does work
    but without inputs
you need to reset FPGA (edspctrl will do that for you)

    Yeah, thanks for the hint!

But that didn't work for me, may be because of PCIe interface... I heard that the Microdocs are different in PCI and PCIe models.

we need to find FGPA dump somewhere. it is impossible to 'read' it back from a working card. previous FPGA dumps were taken from the ALSA sources, but I'm not sure they are up to date with current hardware...

I'm dual booting Win 7 and OSX hackintosh. My Emu 1212m runs well on Windows, but I'd like to be able to use it on OS X.
If I use this driver for the Mac OS and run the reset on the FPGA firmware, will it damage or affect the performance of the card on Windows?
    Thanks.

Any news about it [IMG] ... I'm very interested in a Snowleopard driver for emu 1212M pci-e. In my 1212m, outputs work fine, but no inputs and without them I can not record [IMG]. It would be much appreciated, give support to the inputs of these cards, since there is no driver for Mac OS X, and Logic, Protools, etc only works on Mac. Thanks for your support [IMG]. (sorry for my bad english [IMG])

Hi guys! I spent days and no success. :tears: My Emu 1616m PCI doesn't work with neither 1.11b. nor 1.03b nor 1.02b drivers. :sigh:

I have dual boot on my hackintosh (retail) with Windows 7 and the windows version of the Kx driver works well. In Mac OSX (10.6.7) when I type "edspctrl -reset" in terminal I get "error initializing kX interface", same for kxctrl -reset command - "error initialising iKX interface" - all of that on 1.11b version.

With 1.03b I still get "error initializing kX interface" but on "kxctrl" I get a list of command options - I tried "kxctrl - reset" and got "Bus error" message.

I ran all these commands with the MicroDock turned on and off. No go.

I disabled my AZAL (HDEF) onboard audio in the DSDT and removed AppleHDA.kext from S/L/E.

Do I understand correctly that I won't be able to see the driver show up in Audio Midi settings dialog until esdpctrl -reset runs properly?

Would appreciate and advice on what else I might try to get it to work !!!
    Thanks a lot in advance!!!
