ive played it. its brilliant.
I dont like how you can get the best bow in the game within 30 min of playing. I also think that they should have change the game menus as they definatly along with the loading zones being ALL over REAK of almost a direct console port.
i heard its garbage from a few ppl. i dont trust xbox rpgs except KOTOR.
fable was good fun on the xbox, but too short...which they fixed for PC....bring it on!
The graphics is awesome. But there are some weaknesses:
1. Movement is limited, unlike Gothic where you could go everywhere.
2. Everything is simplified (statistics, weapons, armor).
3. Searching a body gives you a fixed amount of gold, or one item. (Wouldn't it be logical, to get some weapons and armor too?)
4. Opening a chest gives you exactly ONE item.
5. Traders bug, hopefully they will fix it in retail.
Some funny things:
1. get a heavy axe and try wielding it when your strength is low
2. women and men can fall in love with you.
3. I just love my "Chicken chaser" hero nickname
4. Kicking chickens for prizes
It's a nice RPG, but not a musthave like Gothic 2. (Make a game with gothic proportins & Fable graphics and it will be awesome).
of course you dont, you are a Sony fanboy.
The graphics are beautiful and I love the items/weapons you can get in the game, this will keep me busy for quite awhile!
I was never really impressed with Gothic, not sure but it just didn't strike me as "wow must play".
lets just hope there is no "cold Beer mod"
I am playing this for 3 days and it`s awesome! After Vampire: The Masquarade it`s the only RPG that I just can`t stop playing. Also I didn`t spot any bugs and it runs flawlessly on nearly highest settings on my rig.
I'm going to play through once purely good and then go back through and play purely evil
Yeah its good, only downside is, its still very short.......
yea...I beat the xbox version in 3 days...how long did the PC version take allan? (And is the final boss still amazingly easy once you figure out the simple pattern?)
I seriuosly wanted an Xbox to play that title it just sounds so good. Every deed you do determines the outcome of every event after that so if you are good your character shows it and if you are evil it shows as well. Meet a farmer in need of help and you help him you become good slay him and you become bad. Its the same guy who developed Dungeon Keeper and Black and White
Im guessing 10-15 hours in total, and yes incredibly easy, all the game is very easy. Its well worth playing though, some gorgeous design. just unfortunate it really isnt much of a challenge nor is it very long.
the hardest part was the Arena in the XBox...and it took me 3 tries and about an hour
Jerky as hell when you run, and when I finish the first mission it keeps crashing back to desktop!!
jerky? wow....... mm wonder if its the ATI card you are using, I havent tried it with ATI yet, the 6800 GT and 7800GTX run it perfectly, didnt have one crash in the whole time I played it.........
Maybe it was harder on the xbox, I beat the arena first time, just stocked up on loads of health and mana vials. Thats actually the secret to beating the game, have at least 30 of each in your inventory and put them into the quick selection bar at the bottom, l.e. - 6 for health and 7 for mana, so you can just tap the keys when you need a boost. also good idea to stock up on loads of food as you can use those as a quick supplement to the main potions.
easy overall, far too easy actually.
