Arggh...the bug with relation to WMP9 is still there. You still gotta use the Registry hack to associate Firefox with the newer WMP and not the older v6.4.

Well I like to be able to open multiple tabs within one window. You can have a different web page on each tab and it makes multiple browsing very easy and you only have one instance of firefox open. It has a brilliant pop up blocker. It has skinning options and its less open to security problems than IE6 is.

You also get a build in google search bar and you can if you want, add favourites to your favourites bar.

It really is brilliant. It does have some compatibilty issues with some sites but there is no way I'm going to use IE again after using this.

give it a try for a couple of weeks and see what you think.

I really haven't got a clue about web browsers. I've always used IE, so I dont know really. The only thing I'd upgrade a browser for is the security aspect.

I tried it...but got rid of it because it didnt like IRC links, and the download manager IMO sucks...I like to have them all in seperate windows, like IE..not in some download manager.

    Why people keep glorifying Firefox?

Mozilla can already do that and MUCH MUCH MORE!

Firefox is a striped down Mozilla browser, plain and simple.

Why bother with the lower version of a program when you can get the complete one at the same price? (which is free of course)

One more thing, Mozilla doesn't have all the bugs that are currently happening in Firefox.

    BTW, I'm using the latest Mozilla 1.7 RC3 :D

Omega, I think it has to do with download size and speed. Mozilla is a little bloated and takes a long time to load up and maybe it is just me but I have noticed browsing speed differences between Mozilla and Firefox.

I have been using Firefox as my primary browser since .08 release and really like it. I only really have 1 beef and that is how it deals with RAR's. It treats it like machine code and just writes the code to your browser window. I hope this build solves that.

I've never had that problem with Rar files. I always get the notification of what I want to do with it.

Using Mozilla or Firefox will solve a lot of the Spyware scripts as well since Mozilla and Firefox do not execute the scripts within the browser like IE does.

I have to use IE for some things such as my MSN Messenger linking to my hotmail and working properly, but that is one of the only few things.

If you used dial up, you would notice a difference.
