Is there a way to set a password to my username? I folded a couple of WUs after a longer period and while checking my contributions page, I found this:

Brony?! And then I take a look at their team page and see this...

... and that name somehow seems very, very familiar...

 If Dan Brown's books thought me anything, then this isn't a coincidence and it's obvious that the Illuminati, and Bronies as their front, are behind this! (They've obviously kidnapped the real Judas a while ago and replaced him with their guy!) :D

Get a passkey. It is unique, unlike username which can be shared by many users.

Edit: I just noticed you already have a passkey.

I was looking around and had a few conversation with a few other folders outside of hardwareheaven obviously.

People have been forming a single core group and then creating subgroups inside of it.

As some people are well aware, depending on the folding team sizes, many of the small teams have been basically halted and merged into a subgroup under a much larger core. Provided there is enough people to form a subgroup (doesn't take much but 1 or 2 isn't really enough), one is easily created and logged.

I think i'm just shy 7 million points under the Brony@home folding team... They offered a hardwareheaven subteam...

Just putting it out there, not trying to deter the current team or anything... just thought it was a cool idea.

120th place.... 216,xxx,xxx points and rising at about 1 million per day give or take...

We'd all be listed on the main page in the subgroups or sub-teams... with our own heading.

There was talk of creating subteam links to the respective teams own forums/page/etc.

    http://bronyathome.org/subteams.php

I just doubt many among the HH crowd is just going to up and join a brony@home folding team lol... to fold under a HH subteam...

BUT for anyone that does.... it can be done :D

Would we keep our current points?

Tbf, even if we did, I'm not sure many of us would be comfortable with HH folding being a brony subteam :D

The current HH points would transfer to the brony@home team.. they would remain in the current HH team only.

And yes, like i said.. not everyone would want to fold under brony@home.... but i presented the option... It's a force growing substatially/quickly. Made 100 million points just since july 1st, that's pretty phenominal.

I have never seen him before.

My uniprocessor client just downloaded a Project 10722 WU, it has a 56 days final deadline and the TPF is 1h34min, this will be a very long run since I'm folding only about 4 hours/day.

What kind of PPD do you get in general? I'd have thought with the uniprocessor client especially you could just have it in the background all the time - the fact that it only uses one core and the low priority will prevent it from affecting the performance of other programs.

I do have it running in the background all the time, but my computer is on only when I'm home, not 24/7. Sometimes i fold a few SMP/GPU WU's, but most of the time I run the uniprocessor client, so the PPD is quite low, right now it is 882 with the P10722 WU.

a lot of the WU's i seem to end up with are final deadline at between 50 and 70 days...

I completely them usually within 24 hours (3770k does it in about 18 hours.... 3930k does it in 9-11 hours)

There a HUGE bias for nvidia gpus... averaging between 12-18k ppd where as i'm lucky to see 6-8k ppd on the 6970, the 7970 that i had for a brief moment ran nearly identical numbers too...

I know a few people that have 2 machines, each with a 580 nvidia card, and is producing more than my 3930k + ati card combined and occasionally more than both my 3770k/3930k+2x ati cards combined on some days.

recently there were nvidia specific WU's that got a few people up into the 100k ppd for a brief time.

It's not bias, points are designed to be proportional to usefulness. The units that Nvidia GPUs get yield a larger quantity of useful results (or are easier to create, or some combination).

You get a bonus for early completion of SMP units because it is useful to get results quickly.

My 460 is currently working on a unit which works out at 23K PPD.

F@H's CUDA code is way more optimized than their AMD OpenCL code. AMD (completely) changed their GPGPU API several times during the span of the project, so F@H team never brought the code to the same level of refinement and optimization.

My 5870 is getting only P11293 "Alzheimer desease amyloid" WUs, nothing else. Are the WUs for newer AMD cards more varied or is it because of the limitations IvanV mentioned above?
