What do you mean?
I meant if eventualy i could use these drum sounds in my own music ^^
Oh, another thing, are these sounds were taken from your battery ?
Also there is the same tom sound at C and D, weird =)
Yes, afaik all used samples are royalty free.
And for the tom in C and D ? ^^
I have read your tuto about kx dsp, it's just kickass ! Thanks for all that simply explained stuff ^^
I am a drummer and I think this kit is incredible. I have used many softsynth, soundfonts, etc. but this is the most realistic kit I have ever heard. GREAT JOB!!!!
Like minded users may profit from that while others don't
Aww I was gonna dance but then i saw it was for KX only I was gonna happy that i got another vsti for Ableton live =/.
Glad you like it.
I trigger it with my TD-5 Trapkit -> MIDI-IN -> kx3534f ASIO~2.5ms.
Blazing fast response and Rolls without a glitch on any moderate PC.
blo-dy h-ll, how did i miss this for so long?????
thnx lex great work. as always!!!
Are you refering to the VSTi or to trevbushell's 'great action' .
do you think about improving the thing somehow, so panning and / or different outputs?
BTW: it sounds great! Thank you for your work!
thumbs up for your great work
Seperate outputs yes, but in this case panning
doesn't work because of the stereo ambient samples used.
For good panning I would need seperate dry mono samples
and optionaly their respective ambient stereo samples.
(I use to have a royalty free drum sample set with seperate dry/ambient
samples but I lost it and can't seem to find it anymore on the net.
It came from kvr recorded by some french drummer in his studio.)
Another solution is using "mono drum samples only" with seperate
output busses for pan/route.
That way one can process each drum instrument or groups seperatly.
I.e. panning and adding reverb etc. hence placing it in the stereo field manualy.
Exactly that is what I meant, so give each (stereo) instument a different output pair and each pair can be added as a strip in the main mixer to alter the sound in any way - this would be very fine. The sounds are quite good as they are, no need to change .
This is a great little VSTi. I've been searching for a good free VSTi drum kit for a long time and this is exactly what I was looking for. Light and CPU-friendly, yet powerful-sounding. I'm working on some progressive metal material and I think this kit will fit the bill just perfectly. Splendid job Lex.
Are we likely to see an update eventually, possibly including some way to add effects to individual sounds... and a china cymbal maybe?
Judging on forum activity,
user interest, participation, feedback etc. etc.....I'm afraid not.
Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.
Ah well, it's a good VSTi nonetheless and I'll probably use it for a few songs.
Please different outputs, Lex, maybe 4 pairs where I can route the sounds on?! This pushes the little pluggy far up in functionality.
It would be a shame if this plugin's development is abandoned. I would love to see all of the sound generators you've done for this VST-kX powered format. Isn't there any chance to see the hammond, the analog synth and the other drumkit that used to load within the DSP for this new version?
How can I help?
