I was looking for something and I found an old email I sent and then received a reply to, back in 1998.

The part you are seeing here is in "Greeklglish" . Basically an informal way of typing Greek with English characters, mostly phonetically , but not necessarily so.
From the K-6 down to the Hitachi, it's things I bought to upgrade my then PC.
From the old system I kept the tower, a HDD, the floppy disk drive, the soundcard.
Selling the old motherboard, the RAM (32MB), the graphics card (Matrox Mystique), and a 528MB HDD. I am not 100% certain, but it's possible that is the drive I got for my 1994 PC. A Seagate drive.
I also mention how I decided to keep my Sony monitor.

Oh yes. Also for years now I couldn't remember what I had as graphics card together with the 3D accelerator card. Also, I assume the Soyo was the motherboard. Back then it felt like I was upgrading every 3 days. I can't possibly remember every hardware I had.

Same here IIRC the 3Dfx one, I purchased it because it totally overhauled how Quake 2 looked by introducing proper curves

OK, another old email, receipt from 2008 this time.
Not as old, but still old enough.
The PC you can see here lasted for about 2 years, with the GPU being replaced first with a 6850 IIRC.
That GPU was so impressive when new, but got old so fast and it was the noisiest hardware I ever owned, including vacuum cleaners.
IIRC after the 6850 (which wasn't technically faster, but it was silent compared to this, I never got another AMD GPU.
