I hope I can ask my question here, if it is a wrong place , please remove my post.

So... I do not have much time for playing games but I know there are MANY out there and I want to give it a try with my coming up new build below

    https://www.hardwareheaven.com/comm...uture-msfs-2020-plus-blender-modeling.262596/

I am looking for a game with no shooting, no explosions, no car races etc.

I am looking for something that would really pulled me "in".

I do not have a specific area (yet) , just looking for something really amazing (if there is any)

Please post your choices with explanations why they are so great.

    Thanks!

Well it depends why you don't want shooting, explosions, car races etc. Is it some aversion to flashing lights / loud noise or something to do with violence.

First thing that comes to mind is The WItcher 3 which is widely regarded as one of the best games ever made and does not have shooting or explosions per-se. It is a sword and spell based fantasy adventure.

Personally I have been playing Star Citizen recently which needs a modern system, has a high level of fidelity but is currently in an alpha state so has some bugs to contend with. Shooting is a possibility but I have only had to pull my weapon out once in the last few weeks but I could have easily avoided the encounter if I wished to. The game has just added its first iteration of persistence meaning you have a reasonable chance of progressing your character as you play.

You like simulations right, how about The Sims 4? It's a simulation of people living, here is a gameplay video:

First thing you need when trying to find a game to play is not what you don't want the game to be about, but what it is going to be about.
Say what things you want it to have, then as a consideration that it must not have fighting, racing, explosions.
    Then I can help.
Also, regarding violence, is it graphic violence only that you don't want, or even abstract/numbers too?

Thanks for reply. I need to explain better, sorry my bad...
It has nothing to do with flashing lights or violence.
I can take both unless it is some really cruel thing let's say taking animal apart slowly... it just came to my mind and I want to explain since we are talking here.
Few years ago, my wife sent me a video showing the animal being skinned alive for skin.... yes, just like that.
To me it was super cruel, I saw that poor animal still alive, moving with no skin....
This picture will always stay in my memory...
It is not that I am some kind of pu..y and can not look at the violence but this type, I would sure not.

Having said that... I do not have time for all I would like to do, like most of us, that also applies to games so I would probably enjoy cars, shooting and explosions for a bit but since I have to assign my time for I would like to do the best.
I want to try the game that would make me think and make me involved in it as the game progresses.
I was not playing games since the Atari times when I played Boulder Dash on TV screen lol, lol, lol.
I know that since then technology developed so much that there is no comparison between then and now.
That is why I want to see what is available, the top ones people play.

I will check out The WItcher 3, I might not right away buy it but will read some reviews etc. Thanks for suggestion.
Star Citizen sounds good too, love starts by the way and all alien and spacecraft stuff. :)

    Thanks Calliers!
When I started watching the video you posted I am like..."what the h..l, you want me to dress a doll?" :p:p:p:D:D:D
Then I saw what it is about, progressive simulation of the community/society.
I will look it up too .

@arb65912 If you don't have much time you could also get into beat em ups, you can play them for just 15 minutes or hours, and they are fun. My favourite one is Tekken 7, lots of fun.

And why would your wife send such a video?

Edit: Oh and here is some gameplay from Tekken 7:

Option1. I am on the moon or another planet, I want to survive, make a colony and travel to different planets, meet aliens and other people .
I want to see sceneries that I could not even imagine in real life ...

Option 2. I am in a cave and I want to explore, there are many different options where I can go, I need to find food and solve puzzles to get to certain places.
I also want to see some mysterious imaginary world as I explore further....

That is just for starter, as some of you know already I love flight simulation but X-Plane pretty much fulfills my needs in that area.
MSFS 2020 will be sure something to look at, hope my new system will handle that o_O

Violence, I am OK with violence when it is needed as long as it is not the type I described in my reply above.

@Trusteft : I have read one of your posts in forums about people not using proper words etc. and just wanted to let you know that English is my second language, my grammar sucks and my vocabulary is probably on the kindergarten level so please do do not get mad reading my writing efforts....;)

Unless you are @Judas or @Calliers I am not going to make fun of you for anything, including language.
    :)

One last question about the games, do you need them to be in 3D or 2D is fine too?

I will reply later as it is almost 2am here and I need to get some rest.

Lol,lol. Gotta try one of these one day too, thanks.
About time, I will make some time, will do less of other things and more gaming.
The thing is that I just want to hear from experts what is the top of the line at the present.

My wife shared that video as she was also shocked to see how bad so called "humans" can be.
I believe that there is a difference between watching something violence for pure curiosity and watching it because it satisfies one.
You know, English is not my best asset but I hope you understand what I mean... curiosity is OK , we are all curious but there has to be the boundary when there is too much unnecessary violence that would overrun curiosity.... I do not know how to explain it in my Polish English :D but you got the drift.;)

I get the curiosity part of the video and why she shared it.

Don't worry your PC will definitely run any game you want.

Oooooooh, I got the perfect game for you....

No Man's Sky, it sucked at the beginning, but now it is a lot better, a lot lot LOT better.

There is a difference between laughing at someone and laughing with someone... heard it somewhere.
I can take jokes about Polish and about myself, I am pretty cool old man but I will know right away when the joke is meant not the way I would like...;)

3D would be preferable unless it is chess....

Sure, get some rest, I am planning on the same, long day at work.. now my build is calling me too, lol, lol, lol.

No Man's Sky has the -best- theme song I've ever heard from a game, just listen:

One game I'd' recommend you'd avoid is Grand Theft Auto V. In the story mode there is a scene in which you have to torture some innocent guy, not for the faint of heart.

If it's exploring, fantasy, and open-world you desire, I can recommend any of the Elders Scrolls games: Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, are the three that I've personally played. It can be played in 1st or 3rd person..and can switch between the two; includes Magic Spells, Character Leveling, among other things. And, if you get the English version, there is dialogue with NPC characters and books to be found throughout that could possibly be a help with your English...if you desire that aspect of a game. You can go into caves, climb mountains, battle against enemy foes and wild animals. These are games I've played for hundreds of hours.

Here's a link to Oblivion...to get you an idea of what the games are like..
