What region do you all play in? I have NA and a LA account I don't play anymore. Hopefully they will remove region locks some time in the future.
    Seriously :O

What an incredible contest and prize. While I spent a lot of this year complaining pcs's were ignored in favor of consoles, Mass Effect 2 was a great game and one of a couple I'd call favorites this year.

I voted Mass Effect 2. I played it with my imported character from the first part and this game is just gorgeous. The only game that all decitions chosen in the game can have an impact in overall game and the next to come. Simply amazing.

I was disappointed with Starcraft 2. The lack of real lan play was a mistake (or at least I think so). I used to play Starcraft with friends without net connection and now, we can´t play the second part with lan system.

COD:Black Ops also it´s a great game, but as I said before, in my humble opinion, ME2 is just unbeatable.

This year's games were fine, but nothing revolutionary, most of them are sequels. I want new stuff next year because apart from some indies, nothing impressed me from the big name companies.

    Hey all,
I'm totally surprised that only one person has mentioned Battlefield Bad Company 2. Are all the other people playing this game, still too busy to come post on the forums?

Also to those of you who are veterans of the site, best of luck, to those of us that just read whilst not logged in, best of luck, to the rest best of luck.

I know i'll be able to offload at leat two pc's if i landed a beast like that price. Well, here's hoping.

Oh and if anyone is bored, have a look at the dell x11 laptop vid, pretty good watch.

Same here. I dont' remember the last time I played a game as much as BC2. Plus the support has been great on the PC with the additional free maps and consistant updating. Something that can't be said for most other games in the genre.

Well, I did vote for BC2. Free map pack + Vietnam DLC keep the game interesting. I think I will skip the SPECACT kit though.

"choice of either a Core i7-975 Extreme Edition or Core i7-970 six core CPU"

    Another easy decision!:D

EDIT: Fair enough, it's nice to have a choice, I suppose if you're a LN2/evaporator-type of overclocker the decision might be a bit tougher...

What would your decision be? I'm curious to see what the winner chooses personally... the 975EE is a lot more fun for the overclocker and faster for most normal people... but the 970 has the draw of 6 cores.

The six-core one is preferable for me. So far it seems adding cores from h/w manufacturers and parallelized coding from s/w developers will remain the main trend for a certain period of time.

    And yeah, ME2 FTW!

for me it wouldn`t be easy. both of them are powerfull.but what software does use more than 4 cores? none. i guess not even 2 are fully used now, not sure though
