Gaming 2009 - Disappointments. Games you wanted to see

So I made this thread for people to basically list the game that didn't come out this year that you REALLY wanted to SEE (Read: Starcraft 2)

My top Picks for 2009

biggest disapointment for me is HALF-LIFE 2: EPISODE 3
it's what, 3 years late now?

 

Mafia 2
Bioshock 2
Max Payne 3
and some other less important games

 

The biggest disapointment for me is CARMAGEDDON 3 (if you avoid Carmageddon TDR that is not third Carmageddon for me, best Carmageddon game is Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse).

Please GOD, send us new Carmageddon game, that is the best game ever.

 

Just SC 2 for me.

It's only 12 years late or so anyways

 

I think DNF got Wired's all time vaporware award because it's just been that late...

you know I miss those carmageddon games, I remember when they first came out and how violent people said they were. Then GTa came out LMAO!!!


But I still remember the original fondly, a new Carmageddon would be awesome, especially if it had awesome crash replays etc.

Half life 2 Ep 3, Indeed, but it wasnt even announced til a couple weeks ago, maybe they needed more time to come up with ideas, because its suppose to be the half life 2 story closer.

Hopefully it's good.

 

I heard rumours that it won't be HL2:EP3 that it'll be like HL3 or something. Would be pretty b'dass though.
Final Fantasy 13 was something i was very interested in despite not owning a 360 or a PS3, Was quite disappointed to see no release. I still say Remake 7 Nao!

 

Exact same game with high end graphics? Or would you change some parts?

I would like a new combat system if it was remade and less random encounters.

 

Indeed, New combat system would be most necessary, however, Less random encounters? That's part of the fun!

 

For me it would have to be Star Craft 2 been waiting for this game for along time too bad it will only come out next year

 

I'm a big fan of Company of Heroes. I'm still waiting for part 2 of the franchise. However, on the whole web there isn't any information about the game. I really hope they make CoH 2.

I think the delays are stemming from their integration of their new communication Overlay, The absolutely new Battle.net, which is pretty awesome, they will be integrating it with all their games. The Singleplayer for SC2 is done. Multiplayer is what they're working on.

 

I will keep my fingers crossed as this is one game that I really want to play

 

Coming from Blizzard it's possible, but in the end they make sure to deliver some of the most polished products in the industry. I sure hope they don't take that long though

 

FF7 was the best one in the series imo, Everything was so brilliantly thought out and a lot of my mates still play it despite it being a relic now. Materia system was a great idea, plot was awesome, Seprioth was BDASS ect. I'd love to see it recreated in high end graphics, keeping the battle system and Materia ofc

 

Indeed, but I think we need the Playstation 4, so that the true glory of That sword can be unleashed in stero-3d

 

max payne 3 and GT5 are really the only 2. i was pretty damn sure ff13 wouldnt be coming out this year.
