i've heard farcry is more a show of graphics… anyway thanks for the link i'll look into it. And i'm more partial to sci-fi sort of games, compared to others

Farcry's an awesome game, and has awesome graphics too! It's a winning combination. ;)

Try Unreal Tournament 2004, its an awesome game!....it kinda has a story line and its Sci-fi-y. :)

System Shock 2, Jedi Knight II, Call of Duty, Tron 2.0

just to name a few....HALO sucks story wise. Very unoriginal, linear...boring

Second that No Style, Elite Force II amazed me. will replay it in a near future. ;) otherwise, Far Cry is not (!) just a show of graphics, its an awesome game too. Of course, try halo if you think you might like it

XIII was a great single player game, the fact that it uses a comic book style of graphics made the game 10x better. The story is a good one and always has twists, another bonus is when the game is turned up on high quality and a high resolution everything looks great :D

Morrowind - humongous single player game

The first Deus Ex was also good (NOT to be confused with Deus Ex 2)

The original Thief - if it is playable on modern hardware

Star Trek Voyager Elite Force II was a fun game, if you haven't ever played it, it's worth looking though the bargain for- Or buy it new, it's cheap.. Plus on todays hardware it will scream with all the eye candy turned on.. I still have my copy, I'll probably play through it again someday.

Farcry is a must play, it is an awesome FPS, best I have ever played, and I haven't even finished it yet. I'm waiting till I get 512 mb more ram, so I can finish it with more eye candy on..

Call of Duty- I played through it twice, and I'm sure I'll play through it again soon.. an excellent game- play it.

Best multiplayer? Still SOFII to me still, the most fun anyway- single player is weak- but I played through it a couple times, it looked great at the time.

Morrowind and Deus Ex are both very good. I have to disagree with XIII though...the plot was easy to predict, very linear levels, and retarded AI, with amazing aim.

Halo is alright... I like the multiplayed, heh... But beware, due to crappy coding, single player will run like assmonkey :wtf: :w00t:

Go with Tron 2.0..trust me, its probably one of the best FPS to come out recently. They need WAY more credit for this game, as it's amazing.

Morrowind can be 3rd or 1st (like Thief 2) and could last a month easy if you up the difficultly slider up a bit. My biggest beef with the game was the lack of a diverse bunch of creatures to kill. Either other people or a small array of bugs and animals. It really needed some orcs, goblins and others to hack apart. :)

My favorite games of all time were Doom (I and II - not much difference) and Unreal. Both had a one word storyline though - survive.
