Lol, i don't actually no the name of the game...
yes or no?
I've encountered the "all your base are belong to us" in SOF 2 on some maps, and with audio binds. Was a running gag, but i'm not sure where It's realy from so I don't know if I've played it. Don't know If that counts for Yes or No.
The name of the game is Zero Wing and no i haven't played it.
Sadly, I haven't played it either.
But "Zero Wing"....hmm, it sounds like an old interesting game. How old is it?
It's for the Sega Genesis, so mid to late 90's.
Zero Wing came out in 1991, and it was an import. The English language got butchered in the translation.
In AD 2101 - War was beginning
Captain: What happen?
Mechanic: Someone set up us the bomb.
Operator: We get signal.
Operator: Main screen turn on.
Captain: It's you!!
Cats: How are you gentlemen!!
Cats: All your base are belong to us.
Cats: You are on the way to destruction.
Captain: What you say!!
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time.
Cats: Ha ha ha ...
Captain: Take off every "ZIG"!!
Captain: You know what you doing.
Captain: Move "ZIG".
Captain: For great justice.
Be worth playling jusst for the translations, LOL
never heard of it...
no i havent played it, but i have many mixes of the all your base song
i've SEEN it..... but never played it
Yeah, come to think of it, now that Mazuko and jump pointed out it's for the genesis, I think I do remember seeing that cartridge sitting atop my friends television set for a few weeks back in the early 90s, but all we were interested in then was Sonic mostly, so I'm not entirely sure if he played it either! :w00t:
I actually used to own Zero Wing. Then my brother decided to pawn all of my Sega Genesis games when the PlayStation came out. It was one of the best overhead shooter games I've ever played. The gameplay is smooth, the graphics aren't too bad, and the sound effects are hilarious. The best part about the game is the ending - I still don't know what the hell they're talking about. I've searched all over the internet to find a meaning for the dialogue, but to no avail.
Pick up a ROM for it or something(not that I encourage that sort of thing).
Here is the "official" (i use that term VERY loosely) AYB site.
My god that is the funniest stuff I have seen in awhile .... ' yoink ' for my collection :bleh:
