Hello, I just want to know if anybody knows what software can restrict access to pornographic sites and contents on a personal computer?

Is everybody afraid to answer? lol, lol, lol

Unfortunately I do not know what software would do that but in Search engine you probably have option for "safe" search or something like that .
But that setting can be changed by anybody I guess. so....

not afraid... just literally nothing that can actually fully prevent it. It doesn't matter what nanny software exists, nothing has ever actually managed to prevent it, and with the utility of what people, specially if it's "kids"... they always can find a way around it.

The only real solution is to simply cut off the internet. Even hardware solutions that only allow white listed content have been circumvented by the simplest of solutions.

All the "nanny" solutions out there have mostly went belly up because of the untold amounts of refunds from distraught customers that tried to make it work only to discover it just didn't, or anything that did work meant that they couldn't do anything that they actually wanted to do.

It's fundamentally a pipedream so to speak, the only suitable option is to as i said, cut the internet off entirely OR sit and monitor it and even then, one wrong click could land you in something, Hell you could be browsing a normal size and a bad ad could hijack and taking you to some porn.

I'm not sure how viable it is, but maybe just get a list of naughty websites and redirect them to whatever through the hosts file (presuming that the restricted users are in fact restricted and don't know the admin password). It should be possible to do the same at the router level and that would probably be more effective (the hosts file would work just for that particular computer and only until someone sticks a bootable USB drive in it; back in the days my dad would disable the hard drive in BIOS and protect BIOS with a password, but I'd boot the PC off a floppy and play whatever could fit on and run from them and some of my favourite games from the era worked just fine :)).

    like i said.

Entire government bodies and specially school district admins spent copious amounts of money to try and prevent all age groups from gaining access to sites they deemed unfit or content in general. All have failed miserably.
