So I quit smoking about a week ago, I'm still battling withdrawal symptoms but the worst part was the first few days, I feel happy that I've been able to do it thus far. I just went cold turkey.
Keep it up Call, it does get easier as time goes on but yeah, first couple of days suck. Stick with it though because shit does get better. Personally, I found taking a walk at lunch break helped, got me out side, get some fresh air and the walking has helped with getting some exercise and gave me some time to rethink why I was quitting... spending more time with my daughter.
Just think, the more you don't smoke, the more money you have to spend on whatever the hell you want.
Thanks guys, I quit with a buddy of mine so we're both supporting each other and that has made it much easier since none of us wants to be the one who goes back to smoking first or fail lol, I already feel a lot better almost as if I have more energy to do whatever I want. And I guess my cigarette money can now go into new games
Well done all you guy who have successfully managed to quit. I hate my habit. Don't like the taste, smell or health implications but I still continue to smoke between 15-30/day. It's learned behavior I guess and I don't have the drive to quit...I must be mad...
If you need help, get help. There is nothing wrong with that. The sooner one stops poisoning himself, the better.
. where did you disappear man all this time ?. must have been under the water Anyway, keep trying and will success,
Im 23 going on 24 on Dec, 11. I have quit and gone back and forth. Bad habit hope I can quit it someday.
I'm happy to tell you that I didn't smoke since august 2010 (my last post on this thread). I saved the money that I used to spend on cigarettes I bought an USB audio interface (Tascam US-200) and a studio/DJ headphone (Beats by Dre PRO) that I'm using now to make my beats.
Holy thread ressurection batman! With my new Aygo i've stamped out the smoking in my car habit, Now i always get out of it to smoke, no smoking in there for me Means smoking is more difficult especially when i'm at work so i'm cutting down, no intention to quit though
