I surely spend more than 500 CHF a year... Damn that's a lot of money
I spent over £600 in the last year, and if the 360 titles keep coming, it looks like i'll be spending the same again this year lol
I voted $101-$200
I used to spend more - a lot more - cause I'd buy into the hype and think the game would be "all that". But since I got broadband (DSL), I can download all those huge demos and try them out first. In about 3 out of 5 cases, maybe 4 out of 5, I play through the demo and realize I don't actually like the game enough to buy it, or if I do like it a little, I don't touch the title until it drops below $30, preferably below $20.
Even though DSL costs me $30 a month for 1.5/384k, it may actually save me that or more in game purchases because I can download and play the demos.
I could not imagine doing that with Dial-Up.
all of our games we buy "for the kids" *ahem*
only games that are actually mine proper are a few ps2 titles and CS:S i think.
but if you count all the games we buy for the house as a whole, it way, way exceeds £500 easy. which is actually a little bit scary.
I voted for $101-200 CAD.
Games purchased in the last year:
Far Cry: $10
C&C: The First Decade: $40
Deus Ex: The Invisible War: $2
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines: $30
Civilization Chronicles: $70
Civilization IV: Warlords: $30
That puts me at $192, which is more than I usually spend in a year on games. Usually I cap my game purchases at $30 for games I really like, but the Civilization and C&C packs both included every game of their respective series.
well.... after going through my list of games.. over the course of 1997ish right up to current day, i've only enough to fill a small bag...
and in the last year, i've only purchased.....apparently only 2 games.... both of them 39.99 each.
Shoot i was thinking for PC games only. So i voted 101-200. But i spent a good $200 on GC games last year too.
I was refering to alll the games.... the bag includes GC/DS/PC games...
well, after WoW, and a few other games, probably somewhere around $350.00 US. Also pick a few things up for the kids now and then, so that is included in the calculation. If I ever end up getting and Xbox, I'm sure that figure will be more.
I pretty much stick to Greatest Hits titles for my Playstation 2. $19.99 per title. I'm patient and like to wait for the deal.
Up until 2006 I was spending well over 500.00 a year on games and they were cheaper a few years back.
In 2006 I spent half that and do not play any of them very much. The quality PC games are far and few between, at least with my type of game. I know there was some pretty good RPG's, I just don't play them. I have found more free games that I like this year than retail big budget games. In 07 I plan on buying UT3, Stalker, ETQW, MOH:Airborne, TDU. TDU is not set in stone unless they get the online portion of the game running better. I kinda like the Infernal demo to so hopefully the game is just as good. There are a few others that I would like if they actually do come out this year.
So does this count the HDTV, computer upgrade, and all the nice little stuff needed to actually run the damn thing?
The last game I bought was WoW : TBC. I am not planning on getting any more games this year.
That put me in the 101-200 category.
Around 50 to 100 € last year...
only game i've ever bought, was HL2. I usually get my games by other means necessary
im in the 100-200 bracket, but ive cut that down alot too. i bought a ton of games when i got computer a couple of years ago (had about 5 years of computer games to catch up on) but now i dont buy much at all.
last year i picked up all of 5 games between GC, PS2, and PC.
HL2 EP1 - 19.99
Final Fantasy XII Collectors edition 55.99
Dark Crusade - 29.99
Prey - 49.99
Oblivion - 49.99
lol, all the games i got last year, i got for free . no, not like that guys . Some came in packaged in the hardware purchased bundled for free, or i got them as a b-day or x-mas present. The only game i did buy was Guild Wars for my sister for her x-mas present.
So, i'm in the 1-100 category
and that is worthy of a sig
Ditto, last two games I bought were Battlefield 2 and Chaos Theory.
hmmmm last game i bought was enter the matrix pc lol...
