Hi guys, I’ve been under a lot of pressure due to my job lately. Can you share with me how you deal with stress? Well, not to mention seeing a therapist. Thanks a lot.

    I'll bite.

I have a co-worker ho used to take his wallet and count and sort the bills inside it when he's stressed. But the key is to learn to give less of a damn. Not in the sense to start slacking, just to accept that, for instance, it's normal that a client wants one thing today and a completely different one tomorrow, and to learn to tell them things like "Okay, this request is going to take X amount of time." (and see if they still want to proceed or not), or to challenge a new request that comes too late towards the end of the project (and take it to the higher ups if needed).

That's assuming that the atmosphere at your workplace is not particularly bad, if the climate is bad, there's nothing wrong with looking for a change.

And if all else fails, one can do a lot worse than seeing a therapist.

I just unwind with a good show, movie, or game.

A lot depends on the source of the stress.

Are you being expected to do the impossible?

Is the source someone else in the "office" that is difficult to get along with?

Are you trying to impress the boss/es and failing?

Just a few examples of things that could be what is causing the anxiety/stress.

Try to learn that, what happens at the office, STAYS at the office. Don't carry it home with you.

I have a rant with a trusted colleague and/or play games to unwind. Cuddling a cat is also a great option

A lot depends on what is causing the stress. If you do not mind sharing a bit more, you will get more response.
