It has been quite some time...a few years maybe...since I had last used HW Monitor from CPUID. What got my interest in it is the fact that I have a fan in my system that kicks in every once in a while and really gets noisy. I was curious as to which element in my system might be triggering this particular fan.

HWMonitor detects every device in the system that generates any heat: CPU, HDDs, GPU, etc, and even shows the utilization of each one as well as the voltage for each.

CPUID has several utilities at their site that can be used totally free of charge.

I'm curious, did you find out why your fan was revving up?

don't use HWMonitor... it's horrible at being accurate or let alone detecting most sensors correctly...

If you want to monitor a system, use HWInfo
