This is what I found when I went down to the garage the other day....
What the hell? Someone tried to rip out the lock on your rear passenger door?
No, it's the rear view mirror on the driver side. Someone just smashed it, for fun I guess.
car ownership is full of issues and problems with the unknown and things you have no control of, but I wonder, since its a car park, Id wager there is video right?
This is a common occurrence around here for anyone that parks on the street... People are to stupid to know how wide their car is so they either drive down the middle of the street or so far over to the right that their passenger side mirror rips off the drivers side mirror of anyone parked at the side of the road. This is the least of their problems, mind you... Don't get me started on the more major ones. Seriously!
Yeah I bet this was one persons way to communicate frustration for parking to closely, or they found paint on their care and a mark and thought it was him, etc.
People generally respect property, but it is something about public parking that turns them into assholes.
No, there is no video I'm afraid.
And no, it's not someone taking revenge either. I met a neighbour down there that said this had happened to 4 other cars as well so it's without a doubt someone just doing it deliberately, for fun or out of spite...
My guess is it's someone who's jealous or something, don't ask me of what because I've worked my ass off to afford getting this car.
perhaps they are just assholes...you never know.
Some people are just angry that someone else has something better than they have. How hard you had to work to get that nice car doesn't matter to them. It's just that you have it and they don't... it never dawns on them that if they just put down the beer can and put forth a little bit more effort they could have that car (house/boat/motorcycle/whatever) too.
It's easier for them to be miserable and try to make others miserable along with them.
I remember hearing about teenagers in IPSWICH and how they could not find work and intentionally looked for things to break or destroy....terrible.
That's most likely what it is, kids... and they have no business being in there at all. Though, their parents are to blame since the kids shouldn't have the electronic key to get inside the garage..
Fortunately I've found a place where I can get a new one relatively cheap and I can paint it myself since I already have the paint. It'll cost me in total half of what the deductible is on my insurance so there's no point in involving the insurance company.
Still, it's a cost I could have done without.
If I ever caught the kid in the act I would destroy him.
I don't know what I'd do if I caught the one(s) doing this.. I guess it's best that I don't, I'll be the one paying for it in the end anyway considering how the judicial system works...
i've caught a jackass doing it.... while i was in the damn car.... i spun away stoning him (was on gravel at the time)
I think, if you see someone doing it and you can report them great. Confronting them can be a bit a dodge, especially when there is more than one of them. Throttling a teenager and kicking their butt might land you in jail.
Where I live we don't call the police, we have other methods.
I know the feeling dude. I've had this sort of stuff happen to me in the past before. Super frustrating.
For you though, its understandable
Imagine if you owned a Ferrari or Lamborghini and they went and keyed your car or worse, that would totally suck balls.
I'd find it very hard to feel sorry for anyone who owned either of those cars. Even more so if they parked it in public.
So are you saying because they drive nice cars they can not feel free to drive and park in public?
Separate names with a comma.
